She has bought me more flowers the past year than everyone else in my entire life combined, she is the absolute hottest date no matter what the occasion, she is the best mom ever (to our fur babies and to Marley), she is my favorite DJ, best friend, and a huge light in my life. August 24, 2022.
I spent the day in a jail cell.
I spent 30 days in rehab shortly after. Life handed me a mirror and I looked my demons dead in the eye and finally told them they were right.

I’m an alcoholic.

Finding the strength to surrender that has showed me power that I never knew I could harness. I am thankful to know and to love my true self. I am beyond thankful for all of the support I have been lucky enough to receive throughout this journey. My sobriety has become my favorite fucking part of myself. 1% better every single day.

Having braces and an imperfect smile as an adult has humbled me in ways I could never imagine. I learned to truly love myself thru my imperfections and focus on my quality of happiness and not caring how anybody else cares to perceive me. It was raw. It was ugly. It fucking hurt, physically and emotionally.
$25k in dental work.
6 teeth pulled from my jaw.
Bone grafting.
Gum grafting.
Approx. two months off work to heal after surgeries.
10 years and four months from start to finish.
All from an accident that didn’t have to happen.

Like all of my trials in this life, I am thankful for this one. It has changed who I am for the better. I am so thankful for the skilled professionals who took such incredible care of my teeth, gums, bone, and prevention as each stage of this journey unfolded. It’s a miracle everything went as smoothly as it did.
And even though it cost me thousands of dollars, having a smile that finally reflects the joy I am so lucky to find in this life is

irrevocably.
