For the first time ever, we’re bringing the legendary Apex HiFi Sound System outta Cambridge to Bishop’s Stortford, for a special pre-carnival, all-day outdoor session!

This is one for the history books!

🔊Apex HiFi (formally known as Revelation 2000 and King Revelation) are a legendary Cambridge-based Reggae and Dub sound system celebrating 25 years this year! A diverse, community-run sound system (male/female, mixed heritage & backgrounds) who have hosted icons like Sugar Minott, Gregory Isaacs, Eek-A-Mouse, Johnny Osborne, Dawn Penn to legends like Channel One Sound System, Mungo’s HiFi, Iration Steppas and many more! They’ve also featured on BBC One and just so you know—they’re hosting Horace Andy in Cambridge the weekend before rolling through to us. Not bad, eh?

Apex HiFi are known for bringing uplifting vibrations “for the people, by the people” on their custom-built rig with heavyweight bass, crystal clear tops and some serious dubwise selections!

What to expect:
– 🎶 Reggae, dub, roots, ska, rocksteady, dancehall, rub-a-dub, steppas & beyond!—all killas, no fillers.
– ☀️ All-day outdoor sound system session (marquee cover if the weather turns British)
– 🍛 Caribbean food (vegan/veggie/meat options)
– 💿👕 Vinyl, CD & clothing stall
– 🎧🎤🎸 Selectors, MCs, singers, players of instruments
– 👶🐶 Child and dog friendly—everyone welcome!

From young I had visions of skanking beside a river in the forest. Somos agua, the forest is our home, music is our chant.

Never felt so connected at a dance, the profoundest vibrations throughout. It surpasses a festival tbh @himdubfestival big up!
Also to see one of Jah Youths last sets, grateful, RIEP!

At time where everything pure can seem to be decaying and all that is divine is slipping away, wilderness, music, faith, community and love are in fact abundant.

The only good system is a sound system
Light always prevails
