Until we see a change in leadership regarding recent events, the Underground will no longer feature any content related to TBM. Our hearts go out to the victims. We stand by you. by @underground.mia

Our very own @cameroongonzo had a wonderful experience last week attending the @sammyraemusic show at the @miamibeachbandshell ! Check out the website for a full breakdown of the night and how special the show was at bringing people together! Other band featured from that night was @theswayzees , Baltimore born but took his talent to SoFlo! So great to see Miami representation!

January 26th, 2024, the Sandbox Stage hosted ‘Freaky Friday’, a recurring event that brings together the local musicians of Miami for a night of wild music. A large arrangement of local artists included @bloodorchid , @wearentmak , @hadeedosani , @j.l.g.music and @frogsshowmercy , sending fans into excitement as they delivered onto the night. A projector cast psychedelic neon lights upon the ripped posted backdrop of the stage. The @thesandboxstage in Miami is one of the most popular local venues in the scene, featuring an outside patio that was filled with a community of vendors, and bands promoting their merch. As the artists unloaded for the night to begin, you could feel the warmth in the room as people grew closer and closer, waiting with anticipation for the music to consume them.

It was one of those rare South Florida nights where one could bring out their coat from the depths of the closet and leave it on, making it a perfect night to attend an event at the open-air venue of the Miami Beach Bandshell. Local band @stillblueband found themselves opening for folk legend Bonnie Prince Billy (one of the many aliases of Will Oldham’s). Other acts included the Miami Sound Choir, whose rhythm electrified the venue, while @inezbmusic and @jansebon ’s acoustic set brought warmth to the people. The Rhythm Foundation’s presentation of Miami Folkways was free with RSVP and brought in a wide range of faces. It was invigorating to see pillars of the local music community get to perform on the Bandshell stage alongside such a significant figure in folk music.
