Hi there wonderful human!

I’m on a mission to normalize bodies.

They stretch, grow, hug, change, love and so much more that we take for granted. We don’t love them all the time, but I hope we can be kinder to them and feel safer in them.

I don’t wholly subscribe to #bodypositivityforall or #bodyneutrality I kinda wobble into all schools of thought and just want to create space to talk about all the really hard, joyous, awful and wonderful things that happen through our lives. The more we can share what’s happening in our hearts, the less shame will fester.

I hope you know that all the little things about our bodies that we have been told are “imperfections” can just be what they are! (leggings legs!? cut this ish out!)

I hope you dance
And sing
And laugh
And cry
And feel at home here in my little corner of the internet.

Bring your running shoes, a stretch mat & a good attitude! 12 and up are welcome!

As an ACT lead with @cancersociety I’m committed to raising awareness, funds and going to the hill to speak to politicians! The squeaky wheel gets the grease and I simply will not stand back & let women have the short end of the stick for our breast health. So, come, dance, donate, learn and tell me your stories. I carry them with me & I’m going to keep flighting like hell. But first, whimsy! ✨

The class will take place in the gallery on the second floor of @100kellogg next to @shaws100kellogglane

Last hurrah for the big BRA fundraiser

This Saturday, October 24th, we’re gathering at 100 Kellogg Lane for a donation-based stretch and dance class, right underneath the Big Bra!

It’s part of Underpinnings in Action, my fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society.

We’ll move, stretch, dance, laugh, and celebrate everything this giant piece of lingerie has come to represent.

So come give her one last lift before we unhook her for good!

Meet Isabelle. Her skirt is empty, on purpose 🤓

This weekend I’m bringing a new exhibit “The Archive of Us” to the @national.menopauseshow. Isabelle is a chest cast, a few hundred hand-shaped flowers and thrifted doilies, and a big blue skirt that is waiting for your words.

The question: what do you wish someone had told you about menopause?

I wish someone had told me I wasn’t losing my mind, I just had the brain of a goldfish. (Hot flashes starting early because of ADHD was also news to me.) Turns out it isn’t the end of anything. It’s a renaissance ✨

Now you. Here’s how it works:

2. Pick a prompt: past, present or future
3. Write a word or a sentence on a sticker
4. I’ll put it on a doily and add it to the skirt

My work sits in this strange world between advocacy, education and art (I’ve always been an eclectic mix) And It’s finally clicking. As if the Venn diagram of my life is finally coming together. Finding my space, my people, and those who can help me on my road to helping others. Tiny increments to make it better for our babies as they inherit the spinning rock.

Recently, I wasn’t sure if quitting my big girl job & following my dream (building something for something bigger than myself) was a good idea. Art Comp has been a timely reminder to keep going.
