#ThemeSongSeries Part 4 The Jamie Foxx Show! (Seasons 3-5) This one is a deep cut for sure. Can’t tell you how many times I snuck and stayed up late to watch this show on the WB and the CW😂😂 Shout out to one of my biggest inspirations who happens to be one of the GREATEST actors, singers, and impersonators, and comedians of all time: THE @iamjamiefoxx!

Anybody got a spare heart? 💔 Doesn’t seem like Toto can help me. 😂😂 A cover of “What Would I Do If I Could Feel” written by Charlie Smalls and performed by the late, great Nipsey Russell from “The Wiz” Original Soundtrack (1978). I love my R&B and Gospel but I save a lot of space for show tunes! Sooo ready for National Tour🔥🎶

First things first — this is ALL LOVE.

We know how much work, creativity, and intention goes into reimagining something people already have such a deep connection to. And A Different World is one of those shows. That original theme is attached to memories, culture, HBCU pride, family… all of it.

So when we heard there was a new version, our imaginations immediately started running.

And apparently… our imagination took us straight to the DMV. 😂🥁

We started thinking: What if A Different World had a little Go-Go in it?
That bounce. That pocket. That live percussion. That feeling where the music sounds like a whole neighborhood showed up to the cookout.

So instead of just talking about it, we got together and made the version we heard in our heads.

Just a few creatives showing love to something we grew up with by putting our own flavor on it.

Huge love to the amazing production by @kofiagyeimusic , @rmj_movement , and his incredibly talented wife @love_love_always_ for bringing this idea to life with us. 🙌🏾 shoutout to @underthe_shaed for the drum major representation. I worked on the visuals tapping into my inner 90’s vibe

Now I gotta know…

Is this closer to what YOU thought the new theme was gonna sound like? 👀

Playing the role of Caleb is Shaboz Parker (@underthe_shaed)

Caleb has spent years living comfortably inside the life he built—until one dream forces him to confront what that life may have cost.

…

Shaboz Parker is a North Carolina-born actor, writer, and multidisciplinary artist passionate about telling stories that illuminate the humor, complexity, and humanity of Black life. Formally trained at North Carolina A&T State University, his experience spans theater, film, and vocal performance, bringing dramatic depth, charisma, and musicality to his work.

Beyond acting, Shaboz develops original stage plays and short films through Shadrach Production House, with stories often rooted in Southern culture, faith, ambition, and community.

Shaboz is deeply grateful to the cast and crew of Somebody Loves You for an unforgettable collaborative experience.

WE DID IT... WE MADE IT INTO @bronzelens

An incredible achievement for our Director and Cinematographer, @timbowser.media Returning to BronzeLens, his absolute favorite festival, for a second year in a row is a testament to the work, especially given the festival's selective nature. "It is an absolute joy to bring @ericdenzellewright along for this journey and showcase his phenomenal writing to the bronze lens festival world."

Somebody Loves You
