Men don’t just inherit the Man Box, we learn it, enforce it, and suffer inside it. Liberation starts when we name the rules and choose a different way to live.
What’s one rule you’re ready to let go of? Let us know in the comments or DM.

Tony is an author, educator, and activist, and co-founder of @acalltomen , internationally recognized for his work preventing violence against women while promoting a healthy, respectful manhood. (And his 2010 TED Talk was named by GQ Magazine as one of the “Top 10 TED Talks Every Man Should See.”)

Even when life feels heavy, we’re reminded to find gratitude in the little things. It's so easy to lose sight of what's important in life. Uncertainty can cloud our judgement and put unnecessary stress in areas of our lives. The company of a friend, a moment of self-care, or enjoying the beauty of the outdoors can help us stay grounded. 🌿💚 Thank you, Louie! by @underthehoodtalk

For a long time, mental health was something you just didn't talk about. That's especially true in places like Chicago, where a lot of people grew up being taught to keep their emotions to themselves.
Through @sad.boy.radio, Mathew Alvarez has sat down with people from the West Side and the South Side who weren't always ready to be open. Once they understood what he was doing, they let him into their lives in a different way. Hear more about it on our latest Pod Talk. Link in bio! by @underthehoodtalk

Some people get everything they chased after and still find it doesn't make them happy.
Mathew Alvarez has sat down with plenty of artists who've been there. His takeaway is that wanting something was never the mistake. The work is in stopping to ask whether it's still what you want, and then having the courage to change course toward what actually fulfills you. Sometimes the thing you're holding onto the hardest is the thing keeping you from what's next.
For Mathew Alvarez of @sad.boy.radio, the end of a relationship opened the door to interviews in Puerto Rico and LA, and to more gratitude than he expected. New episode of Pod Talk with @sad.boy.radio @sbrmvt Link in bio! by @underthehoodtalk

What moment shaped you? What conversation do you wish you'd had? What apology never got said?
Some people carry those questions for their whole lives, waiting for someone to ask.
On our latest episode of Pod Talk, @sad.boy.radio and Henry talk about why they do what they do and why the world needs more of these conversations. Tap the link in our bio for the latest episode of Pod Talk!

It's not that men don't want depth in their relationships. It's that so few of them were ever shown how to build it. For more on what's under-talked about when it comes to men and mental health, check out our podcast, Pod Talk. Link in bio. by @underthehoodtalk

Strip everything else away and most of what we chase stops mattering. What's left is usually smaller than we think: a family, a home, the people who make a place feel like somewhere to return to.
We asked people In the Park what's essential to their life. What would yours be? by @underthehoodtalk

It sounds obvious until you actually try to do it. Setting aside time for yourself isn't indulgent, it's maintenance. For more on what's under-talked about when it comes to men and mental health, check out our podcast, Pod Talk. Link in bio. by @underthehoodtalk
