Long over due post but 8 months down with my new dream bike. 2024 Triumph Thruxton RS 1200. 1200 CC / 103 HP 83 LB-FT torque. 0-60 3.1 1/4 mile in 11.6. 120 in the front 160 in the rear. 435 LBS.

Was going to wait to buy this till later in life because well 🙈 it wasn’t cheap. When triumph announced at the end of this year they will be stopping production on the thruxton I knew I had to trade in my current (2023 z650rs) 🟢 and pull the trigger on the very last thruxton to hit the streets.

Feels so well put together compared to my Royal Enfield, kawasaki, and our @s.ramos.9.6 benelli. I really do think you get what you pay for in this instance. 3 driving modes rain cuts the throttle response by atleast 60% road it’s getting quick and sport it will pick the front tire up with ease 🥴🙈 certainly not a full fairing sport bike, but the performance and handling on this classic naked cafe is ridiculous!

I feel for modern classic / cafe segment the Thruxton is at the top of the totem pole. Brembos front and back showa adjustable forks ABS of course front and rear and 0 complaints from me, what a beautiful well put together machine 🙏

My baby turns 1 year old today, where does the time go 😂🥹 currently 12,875 miles, spent $3,265 in gas so far, and she’s consumed 798 gallons 🙈

Specifically got a 2023 GX 460 for the 4.6L legendary Toyota/Lexus 1UR-FE NA V8 engine. ALSO THE VERY LAST YEAR OF THE V8! The engines been around for many years now and is ridiculously reliable. 301HP / 329 torque / 6500 towing, not sexy #S but very peppy for what she is, especially with the torque being more than the HP.

Went in to buy a base model they had, fortunately they sold it so they gave me a trim level higher for the same price as the base. Essentially got third row power seats, upgraded mark Levinson 17 speaker package, and tow package (roof racks, rear frame mounted hitch, trailer hitch electrical connections) all for free worth about $7000.

Absolutely horrendous MPG in the city but long distance you’ll probably be able to drive 450 miles + which for a big heavy SUV with a V8 that’s shaped like a loaf of bread that’s not bad 🤷‍♂️

Very low tech as well that’s also specifically why I wanted it, less things to break! I mean this is a 2023 and it still has a cd player….😂 I mean you could get A bmw / Benz comparison for the same $ and have way more tech if that’s your thing but when things break it’s going to cost you a kidney, and I guarantee you a modern bmw / Benz will not make 300k miles with ease without having major engine / turbo issues. Welp just like that she’s sold! 🙈 owned my 1997 E39 540i V8 6MT for only 6 short months but for sure do not regret it. The 4.4L M62 V8 made 282HP and 310 torque by today’s standards certainly not sexy numbers but man was she quick, must have been a rocket in 97… baby E39 M5 tbh I believe it’s the same block.

Super happy she was a pre vanos car, and can yall believe the first owner / previous owner spent legitimately $45,000 in maintenance on this car…. Bought with 196k and sold with 203k miles but she ran pretty good. I know that’s ALOT OF MILES but … they did build them different back then way less complex and truly and analog driving experience. Can y’all believe back in 97 this car was $60,000 which was the equivalent to $115,000 back then 😮.

0 regrets as I paid almost nothing for her and sold her for some good profit, and the profit legitimately paid for the car of course, all my insurance, maintenance, and probably some of my gas so got to own this car for free essentially 😂🤷‍♂️ E92 M3, E60 M5 6MT examples of course are on my list, will for sure have them some day when I can really afford to piss $ away on maintenance 🙈🤷‍♂️ by @unemployed.misha
