I've started thinking about Mother's Day, have you? #ad This year I've teamed up with @joann_stores to create a custom framed photo of my mom...she's one of the kindest people I know!
Last fall she had a stroke and it's made this Mother's Day mean even more. I found this old photo of her when she was younger, and I wanted to create something special.
At Joann, I was able to pick everything from the frame to fillets, and the type of glass. This beautifully framed photo is something I will cherish forever.
If you'd like to get a custom framed photo for a special lady in your life, April 24th is the last day to order to receive it in time for Mother's Day. taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

It’s that time of year again…garden planning. We’ve bought all the seeds and figured out what we want this year, now we wait on the weather!
Do you have a garden and what are you planting? We are adding cauliflower and cucumbers this year. 🥒 taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

AD: My guest bathroom needed a little update before the holidays...so a fresh coat of paint and a new @moeninc faucet did the trick! ❤️ This bathroom works hard when we have guests, and this quick change made a HUGE impact. This Flara bathroom faucet in chrome is so beautiful. It's a classic design with a contemporary feel. I love that a simple change made such a big impact! AD: There's more than one way to style a wreath! 😉 I love this ‘Noel’ wreath from @thebouqsco ! Its timeless design is so beautiful and the greenery stays fresher longer because it's sourced directly from the farm. Check out 3 different ways I used mine in my holiday decor and let me know which one you like best?!? #bouqspartner #thebouqsco https://lnk2.io/wxXf5Xx taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

#sponsored Have you decorated for Christmas? I'm just starting and @thebouqsco is helping me get in the holiday spirit!
This amazing fresh garland named ‘Homestead’ definitely sets the tone and adds a festive touch. The best part about Bouqs is that their products will stay fresher longer because they are sourced directly from the farm and handpicked at the optimal time. Adding in fresh greens makes my house smell amazing and sets the tone for the holidays. #bouqspartner #thebouqsco

Well, I made the deadline by the skin of my teeth!😅
My #oneroomchallenge bathroom was a really hard one for me. There were so many things that I changed once I saw them in the room.
I think I just had too much going on, but I’m glad I got it done. 🎉
Thanks for sticking with me!! 😘 taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

Well, I guess it’s no surprise to you that I’m not quite finished with my #oneroomchallenge ! 😅
However…I’m so close and I’ll get it done by this weekend.
It’s always good to look back on past projects to motivate me to finish the last little bit. This was my office ORC from 2018.
Here’s to finishing and a sneak peek! 😘 taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

Well, it’s week 5 of the #oneroomchallenge and I’m really behind. I didn’t post anything the last couples of weeks for a few reasons…
1.) I couldn’t decide on a color. (As seen in the second two photos.) 🎨
2.) I was having some health issues, then I went to Texas to see my mom who had a stroke. 😞
All that to say, I’m ready to get thing wrapped up, and today I’m sharing the DIY vanity light I made!
I’m still not sure about the mirrors and the artwork will change…but it feels good to have some progress to share.
I hope you have a great weekend! taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

Well to say this week hasn’t gone as planned is an understatement! 🤦🏼‍♀️
I don’t have a #oneroomchallenge update for you because our family has had some curveballs this week, and when I’m emotional can’t seem to make decisions…apparently.
I’m rethinking my entire design now AND still haven’t decided on a wall color.
🤞🏻I can make some progress this weekend, but if not, I’m ok with it.
Here’s my ORC bedroom for a few years ago, instead. 😅 taken in Indianapolis, Indiana by @unexpectedelegance

It’s week 2 of the #oneroomchallenge and I finally have a new vanity!!
(You can see the old one in the second picture. )
Also, does anyone have a suggestion for taking some of the pink out of my “new to me” vintage rug? It didn’t look that pink in the pictures online. 🤔
