The first class of UNF PT students earned a Bachelor’s degree in PT. UNF had a master’s degree program in PT from 1998-2007, and the first DPT students graduated in 2009. by @unfphysicaltherapy

Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in Physical Therapy?
I have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration & Operations Management from the University of Delaware. After I graduated, I had a 10-hour per week job managing data in a gait lab in the Physical Therapy Department at UD. I realized that the data I was extracting and inputting and analyzing was actually very cool so started working as therapy tech in an outpatient clinic and volunteering at an acute care hospital. The rest is history!

Q: What is your favorite course to teach and why?
Geriatrics. I've taught this course at UNF since 2015. I love helping students and early professionals learn about this amazing area of practice. Since becoming a full time faculty member this year I am even more excited to help weave geriatrics content through the remainder of the curriculum so that students have a broader exposure throughout their entry-level academic careers.

Q: What advice do you often give to your students?
--Know your anatomy. --Use AI as a collaborative partner, not a decision-maker. --Regularly interrogate the "why" behind your clinical decisions. by @unfphysicaltherapy
