The incident occurred during normal business hours when a faculty member was reportedly confronted by what witnesses are now referring to as the "Tube Monster."

Witnesses report the creature was observed openly approaching two community members in the lobby of the Health Sciences Simulation Center earlier this week. Dr. O'Brien stated: "I was just having a chat with Dr. Grady, and it appeared out of nowhere!"

Eyewitnesses describe the encounter as sudden, unexpected, and highly alarming.

What is going on at the Sim Lab ??????

An unusual event is unfolding in the UNH Sim Lab. An overload of tubing appears to have amassed itself into some sort of life form. Witnesses describe a growing, tangled creature made from IV tubing and simulation supplies. Investigators do not yet know how it formed, what it wants, or whether it can be contained.

Today wrapped up our 2nd annual Palliative Care simulation here at HSSC. This is one of the most powerful scenarios - utilizing standardized patients and interdisciplinary collaboration to provide care to an actively dying patient. With the help of Social Work faculty and students, our undergrads learned the importance of focusing on “soft skills”, being present, sitting with uncomfortable silence, and difficult conversations. Our Acute Care Gerontology NP students also participated as the provider in these scenarios, with an emphasis on team based approach and shared decision making. We can’t wait to keep expanding this simulation and offer it to more students throughout CHHS in the years to come! taken in University of New Hampshire by @unh_nursing

Shout out to our fantastic ROTC nursing students!! Nursing school isn’t easy, but add in military training, and there is no rest for the weary 😮‍💨 They put in tremendous effort and we are so proud of their perseverance!

We just wrapped up Code Week here in HSSC! Our students practiced saving lives in the critical care room, while focusing on closed loop communication and team dynamics. They demonstrated awesome leadership, assessment skills and clinical judgement while being exposed to a code environment - this will prepare them for high risk situations to ensure they feel more comfortable and confident when they are in practice!
