Here are a few looks at some new raw edge dishes in various sizes, shapes, clay bodies, and glazes, fresh out of the kiln. I will have these available this weekend at back-to-back sales in both LA @intodo.us and the Bay at the Unhinged Holiday Sale (see below for details for both sales).

These dishes are one of my new favorite things to make. I have been workshopping them for a little over a year. They are a great mental field trip for me away from the wheel. With these, I get the chance to handbuild and use different tools and techniques. They also give me the chance to experiment with different glazes and clay bodies to see which colorways feel right.

To me, these feel like the perfect marriage of organic and elegant, rustic and modern - and you know that's my entire vibe. The raw unglazed edge of each dish meeting the smooth finish of the glazed surface is just 🤌🏾🤤 They are rustic chic in its truest manifestation. But don't worry, I won't forsake my firstborn - bowls. 😂 We're just adding to the eclectic @unhinged_pottery family.

I usually make these in 5 or 6 different sizes, from teenie tiny salt pinch or ring dishes (choose your adventure) to small sauce dishes, to three different sizes of plates, including my favorite, the dinner plate (they stack and you can mix and match glaze and clay body to create your own set - they are the best, in my not-so-humble opinion). Every once in a while, I get reeeeeally wild and make a bowl or a large serving dish in this raw-edged style. 😅

Swing by this weekend to scoop one or two or ten of these, or DM me to purchase. I have more colorways (not pictured) available as well!

Today's mini harvest! A couple eggplant, some squash, exactly 4 cherry tomatoes 😂, quite a few Golden Jalapeños, a Serano, a Habañero, a Reaper, and a bunch of Black Cobras (the red peppers in the back).

We should have a LOT more eggplant, hot and super hot peppers, cherry tomatoes, and a variety of greens coming in soon. Summer is officially over, but no one told the weather here in Southern California. It's still in the 80s here, and will be in the 90s next week.

A few of my recent favorite looks at the backyard garden. Pests (mostly aphids, loopers, and a few army worms) are giving me a run for my money, but the garden is still such a beautiful place to be, even if I am cursing under my breath in between my oooohs and ahhhhhs at all of the gorgeous things growing. 🐛🩷

Still life. Backyard garden pears in an @unhinged_pottery bowl, courtesy of @lauracatherineriley who has far too many Unhinged pieces and always sends me photos of food in them (for which I am forever grateful). 🥰

I had to repost this, because I forgot the music! Let's put together five metal raised beds in 100 degree weather and high humidity: speed mode. Choices were made, gatorades were chugged. My hamstrings and lower back hate me, my palms are bruised from attaching these metal panels to one another with 100s of small screws. BUT, I am so happy to have finally come up with a plan (or at least part of a plan) for what has essentially been "dead space" in our front yard for a couple of years now.

I am always itching for extra space to grow in, so I am really excited about the extra 100 or so square feet of plantable garden space this provides! The plan is to plant a fall garden in these beds over the next few weeks once the temperature drops a little. What do you think I should grow in these? I may even plant some flowers for once!

One of the four smaller (6ft x 3ft x 2ft) beds (far right at the very end of this video, where you can see all five finished beds together in one shot) will be going elsewhere in our yard (probably in the back). Also, idk about the big (12ft x 4ft x 1ft) bed (far left). I am thinking of getting some smaller round beds for that space instead. Thoughts?

Can't wait to see these beds overflowing with plants over the next few months! 🌱🌱🌱

Meet NoHo Garden quality control: Sahara (the cross-eyed semi-Siamese queen) and her brother Kivu (Sahara kind of hates him, but tolerates him...sometimes).

They scream at me through the door (and creepily stare at me) the entire time I am in the garden, sneak out behind me as often as they can even though they know they are not allowed in the yard, inspect any and everything I bring in (I caught them batting around one of these immature green super hot peppers the other day 🤦🏽‍♀️), and flop on the floor in front of my feet when I come in from the garden, begging for belly rubs and pets.

I am obsessed with them. 🐈🩷🌱🐈‍⬛

New sale set up, who dis?! We got collapsible shelves - finally - and just in time to test out set ups for the upcoming, grueling, always busy, holiday sale season :) We went into Marshalls and Home Goods looking for baskets for garden harvests, and came out with these gorgeous, completely collapsible shelves. I am obssessed. What do you think?
