🤭 welcome to my bookstagram!
i figured it was finally time to create a book page away from my personal page.

📖 let me preface this with… i like dark shit. LOL. i will rarely pick up a cutie cozy read. :/ my favorite reads usually fall into the categories/tropes of psychological horrors, dark romance, morally grey men, enemies to lovers, stalkers, and a little bit of romantasy sprinkled in. basically, if the plot is insane and the man is questionable, count me in.

🎨 collecting beautiful books has become just as much of an obsession as reading them, and i don’t see that changing anytime soon.

⭐️ i created this account because i wanted a little corner of the internet to share my love for books, show off my growing collection, talk about my latest reads, and connect with other readers who are just as obsessed as i am. whether it’s a five-star read, an unhinged book review, or a new special edition that has me questioning my financial decisions, you’ll probably see it here.

swipe to see my top 3 favorite types of books. ✨ let’s see if we match. 🤭

give me addictive plots, well written spice, and dangerous men. i really will read anything. i am NOT picky with genres/tropes BUT i am picky with the writing style. i need the spice to feel like a 40 year old cougar wrote it. i want the fantasy aspects of a story to feel like it could really happen in real life. i want to question my sanity. books are supposed to be an escape from reality and i want it to FEEL like that. ✨⭐️😅

october wrapped!!! 10 books. this was actually a very slow month compared to my september. unfortunately college + work gets in the way of my reading. born to be a reader, forced to be a hard working woman. 😒😅😂

i skipped sleep to finish this one. read this if you want a slow-burn, enemies to lovers, judicial thriller romantasy. this was also shalini’s debut novel!
📖 + author: this monster of mine @shalini.writes
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating: this book stuck with me. so many themes resonated within my soul. this was such a different story and i LOVED how creative sarai’s story was written.

this was my first “pitch black” dark romance and this one… tore me UP. @corizaharaauthor you deserve all of the love and respect. i can’t image what effort went into making something so dark and disturbing feel poetic. i can’t wait to see what else she has in store for years to come. #booktok #bookrecs #darkromance

make sure you grab some tissue and buckle down for this one. by @unhingedhardcovers

i see ghosts… 👻 weavingshaw by @alwasityhh with a special edition from @fairyloot ✨ one of my 5 stars for this year. #booktok #fairyloot #gothicromance by @unhingedhardcovers

so at one point i felt like i was darcy… losing my god damn mind. 😅 this was probably the most challenging but rewarding piece of literature that i have come across in the past 3 years. fairydale is not your typical gothic romance. the story is split into 3 parts and each part will clarify any questions you had. no plot holes whatsoever but you will need to sit down through a brutal ride to experience those reveals. this book is full of themes, mysteries, and emotions. grab a pen and paper BEFORE you dive into this story because you will need it. @authorveronicalancet is an amazing writer. i can’t imagine how much work went into this storyline. swipe to see a blurb of my @fable review without any huge spoilers. 🪞
