One more chance to walk through UNI history, with a tour through Fairview Cemetery in Cedar Falls this Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2-4p.m.

Honors History students will be stationed throughout the cemetery to share stories of notable figures from UNI’s past, including those pictured here and many more (total of 17 student staffed gravesites).

A fitting way to wrap up UNI’s 150th by celebrating those who helped shape who we are today!

Is there a better way to kick off Oct. than a cemetery walk?! Stroll through UNI history at Fairview Cemetery this Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5–6:30 p.m. or Sunday, Oct. 4 from 2–4 p.m.

As part of UNI’s Sesquicentennial celebration, the Department of History and University Honors Program are hosting the two free, self-guided cemetery tours.

Students will be stationed throughout the cemetery to share stories of notable figures from UNI’s past, including longtime President Homer Seerley, author Nancy Price, D-Day veteran Howard Vander Beek and others.

Stop by anytime during the tour windows and discover a different side of UNI’s 150-year history!

Not your typical day in nursing class.

This week, students in UNI Nursing’s disaster management course visited the Hazmat Regional Training Center in Waterloo for hazardous materials and scene safety training.

A hands-on look at what it takes to respond safely when an emergency scene gets complicated. 💜🚨☢️ by @uni_csbs
