Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn, and cauldron bubble... Some wicked new events are heading your way this October!

We're kicking off this month strong with an author lecture by Clay Stafford, then heading to Boozy Bookfair with our friends The Bottom and Peter Kern Library, then closing out strong with our A Court of Splintered Harmony midnight release party!

Also, Silas House is coming. That's a pretty big deal. (The social media girl got her J names mixed up. Silas House will be at St. James Episcopal)

As always, RSVP to these events at the link in our bio!

It's everybody's favorite time of the week tomorrow: new release Tuesday!

Folks, we're being fed this week. From a new Bonnie Garmus, to Tara Goedjen's debut adult novel, all the way to the coziest spooky thing you've ever read from Mallory Marlowe.

Of course, we can't fit ALL of the new books into a carousel. Come into the store tomorrow and check out our new release display!

Did you know we have an ongoing bookseller application form? This form is open and accessible 24/7, even when we're not explicitly hiring. But we might kind of, sort of be looking at them right now... 😉

It’s the last day of Shop Small for a Big Impact! Today, we’re asking you a very important question: Who needs Amazon when you have us?

We’ve got good recs. Great staff. Better books. What else could you possibly want??

Are you in love? Or do you just love the feeling of falling in love?

Union Ave Books is excited to present Amanda McCracken @amandajmccracken in conversation with Dr. Camden Morgante @drcamden for When Longing Becomes Your Lover on October 15th at 7pm in our store.

In this searingly honest book, Amanda shares the crushes, relationships, situationships, friendships, hookups, bad dates, wins, losses, and brushes with fate that came with her journey. She provides a deep, exploratory look into limerence: an obsessive rumination on an idealized version of someone. Amanda weaves together her personal journey with research, storytelling, soul-searching questions to reveal the addictive nature of longing while providing hope through her journey of breaking her patterns and ultimately choosing the path towards healthy, authentic intimacy.

Be sure to RSVP via the link in our bio so we know to save you a seat.
