Demand the manifest! Repost @hamishpaterson_class_c Watch this video to hear MUA member and seafarer Hamish Paterson share his thoughts on the International Day of Action of Dockworkers and Port workers against war and militarisation. No war cargo through our ports. No support for genocide. Demand the manifest. by @unionistsforpalestine
MUA HERE TO STAY QUANTEM PICKET IS ON! HEAD DOWN TO PICKET THE 12AM SHIFT! @mua_vicbranch **MUA RALLY ALERT**: a ship is scheduled to arrive *tonight* and be unloaded by scab labour at QUANTEM Coode Island. Community support is needed. 54 Mackenzie Road West Melbourne. Please get down there if you can. Following industrial action, Quantem has stood down its permanent workforce without pay and brought in replacement (interstate and international) labor and security, drawing sharp criticism from unions who likened the tactic to past anti-strike measures. Renewed industrial action and stop-work protests flared up again in late October 2026 as negotiations remained stalled, with unions accusing Quantem of refusing to negotiate a fair agreement. SCARE THE CEOS! FIGHT TO WIN! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! by @unionistsforpalestine
Tomorrow Sunday antifascist counter-rally against the racist, anti-immigrant Australia Marches. Hate marches that antagonise against immigrants are not welcome in this Indigenous, immigrant pro multiculturalism city. It is simple: Making immigrants the punching bags of economic problems is unacceptable and will not be accepted. The rally is organised by a coalition of groups under the banner of Unite Against Racism. Join us at 11am at the State Library of Victoria. The counter rally has ASU Vic/Tas endorsement. The Liberals and One Nation are campaigning on an anti-multicultural platform. Whether Labor keeps or loses the Vic election, racist political forces are shaping Australian politics. Migrant workers played a significant role in the tearing down of the White Australia Policy. It is again our duty as thousands and millions of immigrants to stand up, fight back and defend ourselves against racist policies. We stand with First Nations. We stand with refugees. We stand with new arrivals. We stand with international students and visa holders. We stand with Africans, Indians, Muslims and Palestinians who are vilified daily. We stand together against a xenophobic white colonial capitalist system. We need to take the streets and then take the political culture - no room for racism, no platform for racism, not an inch and not a microphone to promote disgusting vile hatred that leaves us dead at the hands of white supremacists. We remember Christchurch. We remember the attack on Camp Sovereignty. We remember Cronulla. We remember the attempted bombing of Invasion Day Perth protest. We remember attacks on Indian students. We remember attacks on Chinese restaurants. We remember attacks on Italian Lygon St. And we fight back. It is our right to defend our lives and our futures. If we don't fight back, we lose. by @unionistsforpalestine
Tasnim Sammak representing Free Palestine Coalition Naarm articulated an internationalist workers direction for political change, for ending imperialist war as well as local death industries destroying Indigenous life and country, such as at Djab Wurrung and in mining. We are union. We will not work for death and destruction. We are workers, we run and we build the world. Melbourne demonstrates in solidarity with the International dockworkers day of action! by @unionistsforpalestine
MUA Here to Stay! MUA members join the protest in solidarity with the International dockworkers day of action, refusing to load weapons shipments. by @unionistsforpalestine
Solidarity with NSW union comrades taking action as part of the international day of action to protest and disrupt supply of weapons to Israel - repost @stopwaronpalestine @palestine.justice.movement Protest Thales Australia Stop Arming Israel No explosives exports for genocide 📅 1pm Saturday 31 October 📍Thales Australia, 7 Murray Rose Ave, Olympic Park (near Olympic Park Station) Stop the War on Palestine will protest at the offices of Thales Australia on October 31 to tell the Albanese government, Thales Australia and shipping company CMA-CGM to stop arming Israel and end explosives exports for genocide. Weapons company Thales Australia is exporting nitrocellulose explosives made in NSW to a U.S. factory that arms Israel. U.S. import records show 191 tons have been shipped since the start of the genocide. The action will coincide with the Europe and Mediterranean dockworkers day of action against war and genocide where unions from seven countries will strike and protest on October 30. Their action has been endorsed by Palestinian trade unions. As unions in Europe and North Africa are standing against genocide and their own governments’ complicity we will do the same here. The complicity must end, and Israel must face comprehensive sanctions. by @unionistsforpalestine
An Italian maritime union has called a global Shut Down the Ports for Palestine day on Friday, 30th Oct. Workers here don't have the right to strike, so we thought we'd help the local port workers show support by running a Solidarity Sausage Sizzle. Free for port workers; gold coin donation for others; limited quantity. by @unionistsforpalestine
30th OCTOBER 5PM STATE LIBRARY VIC SOLIDARITY WITH THE CURRENT GLOBAL UPRISINGS SOLIDARITY WITH THE INTERNATIONAL DOCKWORKERS DAY OF ACTION ALL OUT AGAINST ALL WAR SHARE WIDELY Around the world, governments are mobilising for war. Workers cannot afford the cost of living, but instead of housing, healthcare, and education, our taxes are spent on weapons for Israel’s genocide in Palestine and the expanding US war on Iran. Australia’s major parties, the ALP and Liberals, support this crisis. They are dragging us into war, refusing to end the US alliance. They have given up on climate change. As our jobs are taken by AI, they are attacking workers’ rights and destroying our unions. They have only one plan: poverty, division, and mass death. Today, dockworkers at over 50 ports are taking action against imperialist war. They are refusing to participate in the shipment of weapons, supported by unions in France, India, Italy, Turkey, Ireland, Greece, Mexico, and Spain. Here in Australia, we are gathering to show our support, explain what is happening, and urge our unions to act. TOOLS DOWN FOR PALESTINE! by @unionistsforpalestine
JOIN US AT THE DOCKWORKERS SOLIDARITY RALLY THIS FRIDAY 5PM STATE LIBRARY VIC! MUA ENDORSE THAT BRANCHES TAKE MEASURES A significant achievement! Tools down for Palestine! The Maritime Union of Australia expresses its solidarity with dockworkers and port workers internationally who are organising under the slogan “International Day of Action of Dockworkers and Port Workers against war and militarisation” on a 30 October 2026 day of action. The MUA National Council endorse that Branches take measures to support these actions. The MUA notes that port workers across Europe and the Mediterranean have called and organised coordinated international action against the use of ports and transport infrastructure for war. The MUA opposes loading weapons for war and genocide. These actions have linked opposition to the genocide of the Palestinian people with opposition to the broader war economy, rearmament, and the transformation of civilian ports into logistical platforms for militarism. The MUA believes ports belong to the people and to the workers who keep them operating. They must not be turned into bases or supply chains for imperialist war, occupation or genocide. Public resources should be directed to jobs, communities, safety, wages and social need, not to militarisation, war cargo and the enrichment of arms manufacturers and shipping interests. No war cargo through our ports. No support for genocide. by @unionistsforpalestine

After weeks of escalating violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu is imposing a complete siege on the illegally occupied region until after Israeli elections.
