🐂☀️ Cattle grazing on a standard-built solar site in Georgia.

This is one we’ve been especially excited to watch develop.

Unlike solar projects specifically designed for cattle, this is a conventional solar site with a low leading edge. United Agrivoltaics worked closely with the asset management team and UA Farm Partner Wes Fuller of Circle F to think through the contingencies, establish the right operating framework, and safely introduce yearling cattle to the site.

So far, the results have been extremely encouraging.

Georgia vegetation has been particularly challenging this year, and the cattle are having no problem keeping up with the growth. Wes is on site every day monitoring the herd and their interaction with the solar infrastructure, and we’ve seen no damage to the equipment.

The cattle will soon be moving to another solar site as we continue evaluating where cattle can be successfully integrated into existing solar facilities.

There is still plenty to learn, but this is exactly the kind of real-world work that helps expand what is possible with agrivoltaics.
