They asked me to tell my story. @goldenarmyfitness_j So I did. From a free jogging group in the streets of Brooklyn during a pandemic… to a published feature on @voyagedallas VoyageDallas as part of their Inspiring Stories Series. This isn't about clout. This is proof that staying true to your mission even when the market isn't ready, even when the road gets hard eventually speaks for itself. Body. Mind. Spirit. πŸ’š HUNGER CAN FOLLOW A CHILD INTO THE CLASSROOM. @unityofthe1000 Imagine sitting in class, trying to focus on a lesson while your stomach is empty. For children experiencing food insecurity, hunger can become a barrier to learning. It can make it harder to concentrate, participate, and fully engage in the school day. And the effects go beyond the classroom. When children don't have consistent access to nutritious food, their health, development, emotional well-being, and opportunities to thrive can all be affected. No child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Every child deserves the nourishment, stability, and support they need to learn and grow. At Unity of the 1,000, we believe wellness starts with caring for the whole person. Hunger affects every generation, from our elders to our youngest learners, and every generation deserves to be fed. πŸ’š LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. The Unity 5K Walk/Jog for Feeding America is less than 2 weeks away! πŸ“… Sunday, November 15, 2026 ⏰ 10–11 AM ET πŸ“ Concert Grove, Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY FREE, all levels, and not a race. Families and kids are welcome! Let's come together to raise awareness about food insecurity and support the fight against hunger. πŸ’š 3 WAYS TO SUPPORT: πŸšΆπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ WALK β€” Register and join us in Prospect Park. πŸ’š DONATE β€” Every gift to our Team Feed fundraiser goes to Feeding America. πŸ“² SHARE β€” Help spread awareness. πŸ”— Registration + fundraiser links in bio. Happy Sunday & happy November 1st, family 🌞 @unityofthe1000 Today marks our first Liberation Day of the new month, and we're stepping into it fully. We are in completion time. We completed our process. We completed last month's learning. And now we move forward without fear, without worry, without stagnation, and without procrastination. We are better. We are bolder. We are brighter. ✨ We're done living under the tyranny of our own doubts. We're not holding ourselves back. We're not stuck. We're brilliant, we're free, and we're speaking, acting, and doing. The sun is on our face again. β˜€οΈ New month. New perspective. New energy. What are you leaving behind in October, and what are you stepping into this November? πŸ’š THEY CARED FOR US. LET'S CARE FOR THEM. @unityofthe1000 Our parents, grandparents, elders, and older neighbors have shaped our families and communities in countless ways. They shared their wisdom, offered guidance, made sacrifices, and cared for generations. Now it's our turn to show that same care. For many older adults, food insecurity is a real challenge. Rising living costs, limited income, and barriers to nutritious food can make everyday needs hard to meet. We can make a difference through simple acts of compassion: checking in, sharing a meal, helping someone find food resources, or supporting organizations fighting hunger. Caring for our elders isn't just an act of kindness. It's a responsibility we share. πŸ’š At Unity of the 1,000, we believe community means showing up for one another across generations, because nobody should face hunger alone. 🀝 JOIN US IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE! πŸ’š INDEPENDENCE INCLUDES ACCESS TO FOOD. @unityofthe1000 Growing older shouldn't mean losing the ability to make choices about what we eat, how we live, or the support we receive. For some older adults, limited income, transportation challenges, or difficulty reaching food resources can make everyday choices harder. But dignity means having options. Every older adult deserves nourishing food that meets their needs, respects their preferences, and supports their independence. Asking for help should never mean giving up the right to choose. At Unity of the 1,000, we believe true wellness means building communities where people are supported, respected, and empowered at every stage of life. Independence. Dignity. Nourishment. Everyone deserves all three. πŸ’š 🀝 JOIN US IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
