Happy Birthday, Doll Baby! One of a kind! That was you, lovely lady! What a journey it has been without you here… it’s been almost 20 years since you passed… I’ve been really emotional lately, so I will just keep this brief, before I start crying, and I know how you particularly hated me doing that… 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hug you like this one last time… Happy Birthday, Terressa LaJean Sanford. If there was ever an angel on earth… It was you! 🫂❤️🎂 R. I. P. Terressa LaJean Sanford. Oct. 31. 1977-Feb. 5. 2007 You and Gingy give each a big hug too, Ok…?!?! by @unklekarl1976
Flashback Fashion. The most evocative fashion image perhaps of all time. Dovima and the Elephants. Photographed by the all time legend Richard Avedon! Dovima is poised betwixt elephants wearing a black silk column bisected by a white satin sash by Christian Dior designed by Yves Saint Laurent in 1954 at the Cirque Du Hiver. It was at the time an adventurous and daringly original image envisioned by the renegade of high fashion photography, Avedon, that exemplifies his rebellious contrarian streak in fashion. It resonates because it’s so off-kilter yet so supremely elegant and soignée. Savage and beautiful all at once! Avedon was famously irritatingly dissatisfied by the angle of the sash in this infamous photo feeling that it made the image too “Composed” and not spontaneous enough and looked too “Haute” he lived for a photo that felt as if it was capturing a moment that wasn’t planned or contrived! But this photo proved even the master could every once in a blue moon, be incorrect! This photo moves past just “Fashion” into the world of “Art” it is glorious and unexpected yet, stoically regal! Pure brilliance! @avedonfoundation #richardavedon #dovimawithelephants #fashionphotography #photography #flashbackfriday by @unklekarl1976

What fuckery is 2026 on, exactly? Tim Curry. Dolly Parton. Tom Skerritt. Walter Koenig. And, now… MON CAPITAINE?!?!? I am broken so hard by the news of Sir Patrick passing that I literally broke down weeping! A stunningly talented actor and just a beautiful human being who strove to improve the world around him while also giving it beauty and joy with his abilities! The bridge is now captainless and the Enterprise-D is in dry dock… you will be loved and missed always and to those of us who grew up during our formative years watching you chart the farthest reaches of space, our lives just became so much less happy and dimmer! My thoughts and wishes of comfort and peace go out to your family, friends and fellow actors who I know are all devastated by this loss! Q said it, right at the pivotal moment… “Sorry, Mon Capitaine! But, all good things must come to an end” Bless thee and go forth explore strange new worlds! One last time for your crew, Captain… “Engage!” @sirpatstew #sirpatrickstewart #startrektng #makeitso #jeanlucpicard #professorx by @unklekarl1976
