Over the past twelve months, my life has been reshaped by battles I never imagined I’d face.One blow after another. Each loss and revelation left me hollow, stripped of the will to fight for my dreams.This project explores the tension between despair and hope.It is a sonic journey through grief, silence, and the slow rediscovery of purpose.My next body of work is titled “DESIRE”, and it is born from that emptiness. It is a sonic diary of grief, silence, and the fragile return of hope. Each track is a chapter in the journey: the weight of absence, the shock of tragedy, the void of despair, and the slow rediscovery of purpose. But DESIRE is not only about loss—it’s about survival. It’s about the faint spark that refuses to die, even when everything feels broken. It’s about finding beauty in pain and rhythm in silence. It is about healing.And part of my healing has come through sound itself.I began my journey in Amapiano, a genre that gave me space to explore groove and atmosphere. But in this season of grief, I found myself drawn back to Gqom—its raw energy, its pounding urgency, its unapologetic darkness.Transitioning from Amapiano to Gqom has been more than just a stylistic choice; it has been therapy.It has reminded me that I am not confined to one sound, one identity, or one way of expressing myself. And exploring my musicality beyond a single genre has opened new pathways for healing, allowing me to channel pain into rhythm and resilience.This is more than music.
