Small Glimpse of Kedarnath temple 🛕 🙏🏻🕉✨️💫

The Kedarnath Temple is one of the most sacred and revered Hindu shrines in the world, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Location: It is situated in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, India, nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayan range at a breathtaking altitude of 3,583 metres above sea level.

Spiritual Significance: It stands as the highest among the 12 Jyotirlingas (the holiest Shiva shrines) and forms a critical part of the famous Chota Char Dham pilgrimage circuit.

History & Origins: According to Hindu mythology, the temple was originally built by the Pandavas from the Mahabharata epic. The present-day structure was later established and revived by the great philosopher saint Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.

Architecture: The temple is a marvel of ancient craftsmanship, constructed using massive, evenly cut grey stone slabs assembled without any mortar. Inside the sanctum, Lord Shiva is worshipped in a unique conical, pyramidal rock formation representing a bull's hump.
