“I No Be Ashawo” is a socially conscious Nigerian short film that explores how childhood neglect, abuse, and systemic failure shape a woman’s life. Through the reflective story of a lady, the film reveals how repeated betrayals and lack of protection in her early years lead her to adopt survival choices later judged by society.

Rather than showing explicit events, the film focuses on emotional impact, accountability, and the need to look beyond labels. It promotes conversations on child protection, early intervention, and community responsibility, and is designed as an educational and sensitization tool for schools, communities, and awareness programs aimed at protecting the Nigerian girl child. by @unlimitedla
