If YOU were in charge of the NHS for one day… what would you change?
That’s exactly what we asked these young people.
Because if you use NHS services, your experience matters.
Maybe it’s how easy it is to get help, how you’re spoken to, Mental health support, waiting times, the information you’re given or whether you actually feel listened to.
Through our work with NHS Trusts in Oxfordshire and Hampshire & Isle of Wight, we’ve seen what can happen when young people are given genuine opportunities to share their experiences and help tackle challenges affecting their communities.
And we want more young people involved in those conversations.
So whether you’re a young person using NHS services or you work in Patient Experience, Engagement or Youth Voice, we want to hear from you:
If you want to feature in one of our videos, pop us a DM and tell us…
If you could change ONE thing about the NHS for young people, what would it be? by @unlocuk

In May, we took the RYA Futures Lab cohort on a three-day residential, and what a three days it was.

From high ropes and Unloc Olympics to sailing in the sunshine and hot chocolates around the campfire, the residential was about more than just activities. It was about building the connections, trust, and shared purpose that will carry this group through the year ahead.

Alongside the fun, the young people explored different leadership styles, reflected on the kind of leaders they want to be, and identified the issues they're passionate about championing within the watersports sector.

These are the changemakers who will drive positive change across the industry, and we couldn't be more excited to see what they create.

The leaders of tomorrow are already leading today 🏛️

We were at the Member of Youth Parliament announcement in Portsmouth, and this is what real leadership looks like before the title, before the stage, before anyone's watching.

Congrats to Maya Choudhury and every candidate who showed up and stood up. by @unlocuk

Young people are forced to live by rules they had no hand in making.
Laws that affect you. Made without you.

If you're 14, 16, or older, you should have a say in the decisions the government makes you live with. by @unlocuk

Diversity isn't just a day on the calendar, it's students sharing their stories, asking real questions, and learning that difference is what makes a community worth being part of 🫶 by @unlocuk

In a world built on endless scrolling, who actually gets to just... be themselves?

4 brothers, watched them all grow up, and the pattern she saw? Boys opting out. Not showing up. Not getting involved. Out of everyone on the YouthBoard, only 3 boys feel like they have a voice. That needs to change. by @unlocuk

Tia's been into F1 since she was 5, watching races with her grandad.

Now at 15, she can break down the sport better than most adults.
