When people think of physical therapy, cancer care isn't always the first thing that comes to mind. But physical therapists help cancer survivors address fatigue, pain, balance challenges, and loss of strength throughout their journey.

That's just one of the many ways PT helps people move better and live better.

There’s more to PT school than lectures, labs, and studying! 🎉

Our Class of 2028 has been making the most of student life at UNMC, bringing home intramural championships in volleyball 🏐, futsal ⚽, and pickleball 🏓. Intramurals are a great way to stay active, build friendships, and enjoy some healthy competition outside the classroom.

Congratulations to our champions, and thank you for showing that teamwork extends far beyond the clinic and the classroom! 💙❤️

More than concerns about declining heart health, wrinkles, or even an early death, two-thirds of people say their greatest fear about aging is losing their mobility and the ability to do what they love.

Physical therapy helps older adults stay independent and mobile and build strength and endurance so they can keep doing what matters most — whether it’s walking the dog, playing with grandkids, traveling, or staying active in the community. You do not need a physician’s referral to see a physical therapist.

Explore the PT For Future Me toolkit filled with interactive resources to support healthy aging: ChoosePT.com/future-me.
