In 1947, the British Empire left India, but its final act of colonial rule would leave a scar across the subcontinent.

After nearly two centuries of colonial exploitation, Britain rushed the transfer of power and partitioned British India into India and Pakistan. The borders were drawn by Cyril Radcliffe, a British lawyer who had no knowledge about the people of India and had only weeks to divide regions home to millions.

The result was catastrophic: 14–18 million people displaced, communal violence across the subcontinent, and up to 2 million dead.

The British Empire walked away. The people of India and Pakistan were left to live with the consequences.

Those in Power Fear You When You're Organized.

What began with outrage over the NEET exam paper leak and repeated recruitment scandals has evolved into one of the largest youth-led protest movements in recent Indian history. At Jantar Mantar, thousands of students have gathered to demand justice, accountability, and a future where opportunity is not determined by corruption.

After the controversial "cockroaches" remark associated with Chief Justice Surya Kant, many protesters reclaimed the insult, giving rise to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)—turning a term of contempt into a symbol of resistance.

History has shown that those in power rarely fear isolated individuals. They fear organized people. They fear solidarity. They fear a generation that refuses to stay silent.

Whether this movement reshapes India's politics or not, one thing is already clear: when ordinary people organize, they become impossible to ignore.

As millions gathered at Tehran's Grand Mosalla for the funeral of the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the long-pushed propaganda of the United States and Israel appeared to crumble. For years, they insisted that the Iranian people hated the Ayatollah and that the Islamic Republic had no genuine popular support. Yet even Donald Trump is now claiming that the people loved the Ayatollah.

This is how imperialism works. Before sanctions, coups, invasions, or military aggression can be justified, the target government must first be portrayed as universally hated by its own people. By repeating this narrative, intervention is presented not as an act of domination, but as an act of "liberation." 250 Years of War, Oppression & Destruction.

As the United States celebrates 250 years of independence, remember those who never had the chance to celebrate theirs. From Indigenous nations driven from their ancestral lands, to millions of Africans enslaved, to countries devastated by wars, coups, occupations, sanctions, and military interventions, the history of American power has left a profound mark across the world.

From the ideology of Manifest Destiny and westward expansion to the Spanish–American War, from Korea and Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan, the rise of the United States as a global superpower has been intertwined with conquest, intervention, and the projection of military and political power far beyond its borders.

An empire built in the name of freedom has, for many, meant conquest, displacement, and the loss of freedom itself.

Diego Maradona wasn't just a football legend,he was unapologetically political. He had a Che Guevara tattoo on his arm, admired Fidel Castro, defended Hugo Chávez, and consistently voiced support for socialist and anti-imperialist movements across Latin America. While now celebrities and football players mostly lack the courage to speak up politically Maradona stood for the right cause.

Don't Let the World Cup Whitewash Decades of American Imperialism

Enjoy the football, celebrate the people, but don't let a month of sport erase decades of history. The connection many feel during the World Cup is not a triumph of American power, but a reminder that working people across the world have more in common with one another than with the ruling classes of their own countries. Football can bring people together,but it should never be used to whitewash wars, coups, occupations, and imperialism.

DR Congo just held Portugal… but this didn’t start here.

From Zaire’s historic 1974 World Cup run to everything that followed under Mobutu’s U.S-backed rule, Congolese football has always existed in the shadow of imperialism, where politics, power, and outside interference shaped even football.

What should’ve been a rising football giant was slowed by decades of control, corruption, and lost potential.

The world has produced its first ever trillionaire. Meanwhile, millions of working people struggle to afford healthcare, housing, education, and even basic necessities. In a system that celebrates extreme wealth accumulation, one individual can possess more resources than entire nations while billions fight to make ends meet.

This isn't simply a story about personal success it's a reflection of an economic order that concentrates wealth and power into fewer and fewer hands. The workers who build the products, maintain the infrastructure, deliver the services, and keep society running are told to work harder, while the rewards increasingly flow upward to a tiny elite.

As productivity rises and technology advances, ordinary people should be working less, living better, and sharing in the prosperity they create. Instead, wages stagnate, living costs soar, and inequality reaches historic levels. No one person needs a trillion dollars. A world where unimaginable wealth exists alongside poverty, homelessness, hunger, and preventable suffering is a world with its priorities upside down.

Unless anyone’s forgotten, the Soviet Union contributed more to the defeat of Germany than any other nation in World War II. From the soldiers who fought and died at Stalingrad, Kursk, Moscow, and Berlin, to the factory workers, farmers, nurses, and civilians who endured unimaginable hardship, every sector of Soviet society was mobilized in a struggle that cost over 20 million lives. It was on the Eastern Front that the Wehrmacht suffered the vast majority of its losses, and it was the Red Army that ultimately raised its banner over Berlin.

Even John F. Kennedy acknowledged the immense Soviet contribution, recognizing the decisive role played by the USSR in defeating German war machine. Yet as the Cold War intensified, political narratives often shifted focus toward a more American-centric memory of the war, leading many to overlook the scale of the Soviet sacrifice. No nation bore a heavier burden in the fight against Germany than the USSR.

Very few leaders in modern history embodied revolutionary courage the way Ho Chi Minh did. In the face of French colonialism and later American imperialism, he refused to let Vietnam bow to foreign domination. While the most powerful military machine on earth tried to crush their resistance through bombings, occupation, and intimidation, Vietnam stood firm.
But this struggle was never just about one leader. It was the struggle of the working class, peasants, students, and ordinary people of Vietnam who carried the revolution on their shoulders. From villages destroyed by war to workers and farmers fighting for liberation, the Vietnamese people showed the world that a united people fighting for their homeland cannot easily be defeated.
Their resistance became a symbol of anti imperialism across the world, proof that even the oppressed and exploited can stand against empires and defend their dignity, sovereignty, and right to self determination.

Based on the dahiya neighbourhood of Beirut, Israel’s Dahiya Doctrine shows how Israel used destruction and fear as weapons. Across Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, civilian neighborhoods, schools, hospitals, and homes have been deliberately targeted under the pretext of military objectives. These attacks aim to intimidate populations and suppress resistance, turning ordinary people’s lives into tools of war. Yet, despite the devastation, the people of Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran continue to resist, refusing to be broken by violence designed to control them.
