They just want to #sell you without understanding your #symptoms. I've seen this happen so many times. Someone approaches a #business owner. Within the first few minutes, they're pitching their services. They explain their packages. Talk about their expertise. Share what they can do. And before understanding the business, they're already recommending a solution. But wait. How do you know what someone needs if you haven't understood their problem? Imagine going to a doctor. You tell them you aren't feeling well. And before asking anything about your symptoms, they start prescribing medicines. Would you trust that doctor? Probably not. Because you expect them to understand what's happening first. What are your symptoms? How long have you been experiencing them? What's causing the problem? What have you already tried? Only after understanding the situation can they recommend an appropriate treatment. Business #consulting shouldn't be any different. If you're a coach, consultant, or business expert, your first responsibility isn't to sell your package. It's to understand the person sitting in front of you. Ask questions. Understand their current situation. Identify their challenges. Find out what they've already tried. Understand where they want to go. And most importantly, figure out whether you can actually help them. Because not everyone is your ideal client. Not everyone needs your services. And sometimes, the right recommendation might even be that they don't need you at all. That's okay. #Selling someone a solution they don't need isn't #expertise. It's just selling. Remember:- A good doctor doesn't prescribe before understanding the symptoms. A good consultant shouldn't recommend a strategy before understanding the business. And a good coach shouldn't push an offer before understanding the person. So before explaining what you sell, spend more time understanding what someone needs. Stop approaching every conversation as a sales opportunity. Start approaching it as an opportunity to understand and solve a problem. #founders #smallbusinessowners #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
I'm not the #bottleneck in my business. I've heard this from so many #coaches and business #owners. But then I start asking a few questions. 👉Can your team make important decisions without you? No, most #decisions come to me. 👉Can your business operate for a week if you're unavailable? Not really. I need to be involved. 👉Does every important #client issue come back to you? Yes. 👉Does your team need your approval before moving forward? Absolutely. Then I ask:- 👉So, how are you NOT the bottleneck? And that's where the conversation gets interesting. You might not realize it, but you are the person everything depends on. Your #team waits for your approval. Your #clients wait for your decisions. Your #projects wait for your attention. Your business waits for your availability. And yet, you believe you're not the bottleneck. Here's what I want you to understand:- Being the bottleneck doesn't mean you're doing a bad job. It means your #business has become too #dependent on you. You might have hired a team. You might have #delegated some tasks. You might have created #processes. But if every important decision still comes back to you, the dependency hasn't gone away. You've simply distributed the workload while keeping the control. And that's dangerous when you're trying to scale. Because your business can only move as fast as the decisions you can make. You can bring in more clients. You can hire more people. You can introduce new services. But if everything still needs your involvement, you're only increasing the pressure on yourself. So here's a simple exercise. Ask yourself:- 1. Can my team make decisions without asking me? 2. Can work move forward when I'm unavailable? 3. Can someone else handle important client relationships? 4. Can my business operate for seven days without my involvement? Be honest with your answers. Don't just tell yourself that you're not the bottleneck. Look at how your business actually operates. Because sometimes, the biggest bottleneck isn't your market, your team, or your lack of opportunities. It's you💯 #smallbusinessowners #businessdependency #teams #founders #scaling #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
I #hate coaches. I hate one particular behaviour. A coach asks you to open up about your life. Your struggles. Your fears. Your failures. Your business. Your personal challenges. They expect you to be vulnerable and transparent because they're there to help you. And that's fair. But here's where I have a problem. The moment you start asking them questions about their own journey, their experience, or how they operate, suddenly the conversation changes. Why should I answer that? You're a stranger to me. Build a relationship first. Then you can ask me. Wait a minute. You expect people to open up to you, but you're not willing to be open with them? You want them to trust you. But are you willing to build that trust? You want them to share their struggles. But are you willing to have an honest conversation? You want them to be vulnerable. But are you willing to be transparent about yourself? I'm not saying a coach has to share every detail of their personal life. Everyone has boundaries. And nobody owes a stranger access to their private life. But there's a difference between protecting your privacy and refusing to be transparent about the work you do. If someone is considering working with you, they have every right to ask reasonable questions. What's your approach? What's your experience? How do you work with clients? What can they expect? And you should be willing to have that conversation. Because coaching isn't just about asking questions. It's also about being accountable for the trust people place in you. If you're a coach, remember:- People aren't just buying your knowledge. They're trusting you with something important in their lives. So be open. Be humble. Be curious. Be willing to listen. And most importantly, don't create rules for your clients that you refuse to follow yourself. You cannot demand openness while practising complete one-sided transparency. Coaching is not about putting yourself on a pedestal. It's about creating an environment where people feel comfortable having honest conversations. And that starts with you. That's why I hate coaches, but not all the coaches. #coaches #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
Business is a numbers game. Someone tells you:- I want more clients. Another says:- I want more leads. Someone else says:- I want to grow my business. That's great. But let me ask you something. How much growth are we actually talking about? Are you making ₹1 lakh a month and trying to reach ₹3 lakh? Are you making ₹10 lakh a month and trying to reach ₹15 lakh? Or are you trying to build a business that generates ₹50 lakh a month? These are completely different situations. And they require different strategies. That's why, when I talk to business owners, I want to understand their numbers. What's your current revenue? What's your target? How many clients do you have? How many do you need? What's your average deal size? How many leads are you generating? And how many of those leads are becoming clients? Because once you know these numbers, you can start identifying the gap. And once you understand the gap, you can start figuring out what needs to change. Maybe you need more leads. Maybe your conversion rate needs improvement. Maybe your pricing is too low. Maybe you need better delivery systems or a team that can handle more clients. Without the numbers, you're guessing. With the numbers, you have a starting point. But here's something I've noticed. Some business owners hesitate to share their numbers. They'll tell you they want to grow. They'll tell you they want more clients. But when you ask where they are right now, the conversation gets vague. I understand that business numbers can feel personal. But if you're asking someone to help you improve your business, they need to understand where you stand today. Nobody can help you close a gap they can't see. Think about it. #scaling #businessowners #numbers #founders #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
I've spoken to so many people recently. And one thing I've noticed is this:- People have #goals, but very little #clarity about what they actually want. 👉Their thinking is vague. 👉Their direction is unclear. 👉And when you ask them what they want to achieve, they struggle to give you a concrete answer. Now, I'm not saying you need to have your entire life figured out. Nobody does. But if you're working as a #coach, I believe there's a certain level of clarity you should have. ❌You don't need to know every detail. ❌You don't need to have every answer. ❌And you don't need to know exactly how everything will unfold. But you should know where you're taking people. You should have clarity about:- 👉The problem you help people solve. 👉The transformation you want them to experience. 👉The direction you're taking your business. 👉The kind of impact you want to create. Because how can you help someone else find clarity if you're unwilling to develop it in your own thinking? You don't need to have everything figured out. But you do need to be intentional about what you're figuring out. #Clarity doesn't mean knowing everything. It means knowing what matters and what you're working towards. #mundane #clarity #goals #scale #founders #entrepreneurs #smallbusinessowners #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
No one can do this as well as me. Have you ever heard a business owner say this? Maybe you've said it yourself. You look at your work and think:- My services are too complicated. My process is too difficult to explain. It took me years to learn this. How can I teach someone else to do it? And so, you keep doing everything yourself. Every task. Every decision. Every client delivery. Because you're convinced that you're the only person who can do it properly. But here's something worth thinking about. There is nothing simple about the human brain. Think about everything you've learned throughout your life. Things that once seemed impossible eventually became familiar. You learned new skills. You solved unfamiliar problems. You made mistakes. You figured things out. And over time, what once felt difficult became something you could do confidently. How did that happen? You learned. You practised. Someone taught you, or you found a way to teach yourself. So why do you assume that someone on your team can't learn the things you've mastered? Of course, they won't know everything on day one. They might need more time. They might make mistakes. They might approach the task differently. But being inexperienced today doesn't mean being incapable tomorrow. If you've spent years developing a skill, you can't expect someone to master it in a single afternoon. You have to break the process down. Explain your thinking. Show them what good work looks like. Let them practise. Give them feedback. And gradually increase their responsibility. That's how you turn your knowledge into someone else's capability. But many founders never give their teams that opportunity. They keep telling themselves, “It's easier if I do it myself.” And they're right. Today, it might be easier. But what happens when you have to do the same thing 100 more times? What happens when you want to grow, but every new client requires more of your personal time? What happens when you want to step away from the business, but nobody else knows how to keep things running? #bottleneck #scaling #founders #team #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
The biggest mistake you're making? You're shutting the door before the opportunity even knocks. Someone sends you a message. And before you even read it properly, your mind starts working. Here comes another salesperson. They're going to pitch me something. I'm not interested. So you ignore the message. Or reply:- Thanks, but I don't need your services. Conversation over. Door closed. Opportunity gone. But here's something worth thinking about. Did you actually find out what they wanted, or did you decide for them? I understand why this happens. Maybe you've dealt with pushy salespeople before. Maybe someone wasted your time. Maybe you've received hundreds of generic pitches from people who never bothered to understand your business. So now, when someone new reaches out, you expect the same thing. And sometimes, you're right. But sometimes, you're not. Your past experience might explain your assumption. It doesn't guarantee your assumption is correct. The person reaching out might have a genuinely useful perspective. They might have noticed something you haven't. They might offer a service that solves a problem you're already facing. Or they might simply want to start a conversation. You'll never know if you close the door before finding out. And let's clear up another thing. Listening to someone's offer doesn't mean you have to buy it. Taking a call doesn't mean you owe them a client. Hearing someone out doesn't mean you've committed to anything. You can listen without agreeing. You can ask questions without buying. You can appreciate someone's work and still say no. The decision is yours. So why reject an opportunity before you've even understood what it is? You don't have to entertain every pitch. You don't have to respond to every message. And you certainly don't have to buy something you don't need. But when a message is relevant and you're curious, give the conversation a chance. Ask a question. Understand what they're offering. See whether there's a fit. Then decide. Because sometimes, the opportunity isn't in the service someone is selling. It's in the conversation you almost didn't have. #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
It's hard to scale a business when you keep adding complexity. Here's something I've noticed about business owners. They start with one service. It works. They get clients. They make money. Then they think:- What if I add another service? So they do. Then another. They introduce a new offer. Add more features. Create another package. Schedule more calls. Build another process. Before they realize it, they're no longer running the simple business that worked in the beginning. They're managing a complicated one. And the irony? They think they're making the business better. But sometimes, they're just making it harder to run. Their customers don't know which service to choose. Their team doesn't know which process to follow. Their marketing message becomes confusing. Their calendar fills up with more meetings. And the founder ends up managing ten different things instead of doing one thing exceptionally well. Why does this happen? Because adding feels like progress. Removing feels like losing something. We think another feature will make our offer better. Another service will attract more customers. Another meeting will improve communication. Another tool will make the team more productive. But we rarely stop to ask:- Is this actually making the business better, or just making it more complicated? Look at the businesses that are difficult to scale. Often, the problem isn't a lack of effort. It's too many moving parts. Too many offers. Too many decisions. Too many unnecessary steps. Too many things that depend on the founder. And every new layer adds more things to manage. Complexity has a cost. It consumes attention. It slows decisions. It makes training harder. It creates more opportunities for things to break. That's why simplifying your business is not about doing less for the sake of doing less. It's about removing what doesn't add enough value. Ask yourself:- 👉What can I remove without reducing the value we deliver? Don't confuse adding more with getting better. #lessismore #positioning #businesstips #smallbusinessowners #complexity #scaling #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
You're thinking linearly. That's why your business isn't scaling. Last year, you made ₹10 lakh. This year, you want to make ₹15 lakh. That's progress. But is it scaling? Not necessarily. Here's the problem with the way many business owners think. They look at what they achieved last year. Then they add a little more to this year's target. A few more clients. A few more projects. A little more revenue. A bigger audience. And they feel like they're moving forward. They might be. But there's a difference between growing a business and building one that can scale. Linear thinking asks:- "How can I do more of what I'm already doing?" Scaling asks:- "What needs to change so the business can produce significantly more without requiring proportionally more time, people, or resources?" Think about it. If you want more clients, do you simply work longer hours? Or do you build a team that can serve more clients? If you want more revenue, do you keep selling your time? Or do you create systems, offers, and delivery models that allow the business to serve more people? If every new client adds more work to your plate, your growth has a limit. Because eventually, you run out of hours. And when your business depends entirely on your personal capacity, working harder won't solve every problem. You need to change how the business operates. And that starts with asking better questions. Instead of asking:- How can I make 20% more this year? Ask:- What would need to change for me to serve five times as many clients? Instead of asking:- How can I fit more work into my week? Ask:- What should no longer depend on me? Instead of asking:- What's my next revenue target? Ask:- What systems, people, and processes would make that target achievable? Of course, setting a bigger revenue goal matters. But a bigger number alone doesn't create a scalable business. The real shift is moving from doing more to building the capacity to do more. So before you set your next target, look at your business. Are you simply planning to work harder than last year? Or are you building a business that can grow beyond your individual effort? #unsettleraza #scaling by @unsettleraza
Your message is right. So why aren't they getting it? You send someone a message. You know exactly what you're trying to say. It's clear in your mind. You read it again. Nothing seems confusing. Then they reply:- I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you explain what you're looking for? And you're sitting there thinking:- What's so difficult to understand? It's right there in the message. I've noticed something interesting about communication. You can send the same message to five different people. Two understand exactly what you're saying. One interprets it differently. Another asks for clarification. And the fifth takes it personally. Same message. Different interpretations. Why? Because people don't read your words in isolation. They interpret them through their own experiences, expectations, assumptions, and perspectives. You know what you intended to say. They only know what they understood. And those two things aren't always the same. For example, you might send a direct message to a potential client. Your intention is to offer help. But they might interpret it as a sales pitch. You might ask a question because you're curious. But someone might think you're challenging them. You might be trying to clarify something. But the other person might think you're criticizing them. Your intention and their interpretation can be completely different. So what should you do? First, don't immediately assume you've done something wrong just because someone interprets your message differently. Explain what you meant. Give them more context. Ask what they understood. Sometimes, a simple conversation clears everything up. But there's another side to this. Don't automatically assume your message is perfect just because your intention was good. If several people misunderstand the same message, maybe it's time to look at how you're communicating. Because communication isn't just about what you meant to say. It's also about what the other person can understand. Here's what I've learned:- Don't let someone's interpretation automatically define your intention. It's their #blueprint #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
Being moody is costing you more than you think. I've made this mistake so many times. Someone would bring me an opportunity. A potential collaboration. A conversation worth having. A person who genuinely wanted to connect. And what would I do? Sometimes, I wouldn't respond. I'd think, “I'll reply later.” Sometimes, I wouldn't feel like talking. Sometimes, I would simply ignore the message because I wasn't in the right mood. And I'd tell myself: It's okay. I'll respond when I feel like it. But here's what I didn't realize at the time. By not responding, I might already be giving them my answer. They don't know what's happening in my mind. They don't know whether I'm having a bad day. They don't know whether I'm busy, overthinking, or simply not feeling social. All they see is silence. And eventually, they move on. The opportunity passes. The conversation ends. And a door that could have opened stays closed. I've been on both sides of this, and honestly, I regret some of the opportunities I didn't give a chance. Because sometimes, we don't lose opportunities because we're not capable. We lose them because we weren't available when they came. And it's not just about us. The other person might have been excited to collaborate. They might have genuinely wanted to help. They might have taken the courage to reach out. Our silence can leave them confused or make them feel rejected, even when that was never our intention. That's the part we often overlook. Our moods can affect other people's decisions, too. Now, I'm not saying you should always be available. You don't have to say yes to every opportunity. You don't have to force yourself into every conversation. And you don't need to pretend you're fine when you're not. But there's a difference between saying no intentionally and leaving someone hanging because you don't feel like responding. You can send a simple message:- Hey, I'm a little occupied right now. I'll get back to you. Or:- Thanks for thinking of me. Let me look into this and get back to you. That's enough to keep the conversation open. Don't let a temporary mood make a permanent decision for you. #unsettleraza by @unsettleraza
