🇨🇦 Welcome to Nawt Fayk. 🚩

Population: everybody who said yes.

No border patrol. No bloodline requirement. No VIP list, no velvet rope, no "you had to be there in the early days" energy. 😤

Official language: bars. 🎤 Official export: the Good News.

Because being chosen was never about being better. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short (Romans 3:22-23). Same line, same need, same grace. 🫡

The passport was paid for somewhere else. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and was raised on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He took the sentence. He walked out of the grave. The border opened from His side, not ours. ✝️

So the application is two lines: Repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15). Turn around, trust what He already finished. 🚪

Nobody here earned the passport. We all just stopped running and took what He bought. ✋

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Door's open. Been open since the stone moved. 🪨

It's okay to be blue. 🔵

Same porch. Same rain. Same cloud sitting right over his head. Nothing in the picture got fixed.
But look again. The rain didn't stop. A little light got through, and he's not blue anymore.
🔴

That's the part I keep learning. God doesn't always take the storm away. A lot of the time He just sits in it with you, and the light finds a way through the cloud anyway.
🫴🫲

So if you're blue today, you're not doing faith wrong. Even Jesus wept. David wrote sad songs and put them right in the Bible. You're allowed to sit on the step for a minute.
Just keep your eyes on the light coming through.
✝️☝️

Weeping may stay the night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
📖

What's something God carried you through without taking it away?

500 beats. 🧮

Most of them made after a full shift, in the same chair, late enough that the house was already asleep. A lot of them nobody has heard yet.

I'm not posting this because it paid off. I'm posting it because I'm still here. Still building Nawt Fayk. Still making beats for artists who are trying to say something that matters.

If you're somewhere in the middle of building something and it's quiet, keep going. Nobody claps for the middle.

There's a story where the chosen walk across a riverbed that shouldn't be dry, and the only thing they're told to bring back is rocks 💧

Twelve of them. One for each tribe. Not for decoration 🪨 so that years later, when a kid pointed at the pile and asked what it meant, somebody had to tell the whole thing again. That's this collection. Twelve stones, twelve packs, each one carrying a virtue. ✨

Fancy Foil pulled the first one out of the water. 💦

Sardius 🔴 brave and courageous. ⚔️ The kind of stone you pick up before you go stand in front of something.

We didn't make the story up. That's the whole point.

Even Fancy Foil finds himself in the storm sometimes. 🌩️

Peter did too. Walking on water, doing fine, until he looked at the waves instead of Jesus. That's when he started to sink. 🌊

The storm doesn't ask if you're ready. But the cross is still standing right in the middle of it, if you'll look up. ☝️

🗺️ There's a place called Nawt Fayk.

You won't find it on any map you know.

One sound at a time, it's coming into view.

Hope isn't just a word to me. It's a person.

There was a season in my early twenties I don't talk about much - the darkest one I've lived through. I felt like the prodigal son, far from where I knew I belonged.

Coming back to God wasn't instant. It was a slow return - chasing Him again before I ever thought about chasing anyone else. And when I met my wife, it was different from the start. Centered on Jesus, from day one.

We built something together on that foundation. And now our son is the continuation of that hope - proof God wasn't done with either of us.

If you're in your own dark season right now - there's hope on the other side of surrender.

I promise.

Heard a question on our men's call this morning that stuck with me:

Imagine your funeral.
Six pallbearers - and none of them can be family. ❌
Two Timothys - younger men you poured into. 🫗
Two Pauls - older men who poured into you. 🫗
Two Barnabases - brothers who walked beside you. 👥
Could you name your six right now❓
I couldn't fill every slot yet. And that's the point - those friendships don't show up at the end unless you build them now. 🫂 Midweek reminder to text a brother, make the call, show up. 📱

Who's carrying you? 🪨

📖 🎧 Started reading Wild at Heart today and it's already hitting different.
🔥
"The masculine heart needs a place where nothing is prefabricated, modular, nonfat, zip lock, franchised, on-line, microwavable."
-John Eldredge
🗣️
David didn't wait for permission to face Goliath. Elijah called down fire. Samson brought the house down. These men weren't safe.. they were surrendered.
☝️
There's a difference between a tame man and a good man.
🦁
That's the heart behind everything I build at UNSP. Music with wildness and purpose. Beats built on a foundation that doesn't crack. 🎹💎✝️
