When art meets nature. 🌿🎨

A little splash of color inspired by one of nature’s most beautiful birds — the European bee-eater (Merops apiaster).

With its brilliant turquoise, emerald green, and golden feathers, this bird almost looks like a living painting.

Surrounded by greenery and touched by warm sunlight, my artwork finds its place among the very things that inspired it.

Because sometimes, the best way to celebrate nature is to bring a little piece of it into our everyday lives. 💚

A little survivor from the Ice Age. 🌊

Found on the sandy shores of the Baltic Sea, this fascinating little creature appears to be a Baltic isopod (Saduria entomon).

Considered a glacial relict, this species has survived in the Baltic Sea since the end of the last Ice Age, around 15,000 years ago.

Usually hiding in the sand or mud of the seabed, these crustaceans are rarely noticed by beach visitors. Yet they play an important role in the Baltic Sea ecosystem, feeding on small organisms and organic remains.

A beautiful reminder that even the smallest creatures can have an extraordinary history. 🦐

Autumn Watercolours 🍂

A few fallen leaves, a ripple of gold, and swans drifting through the colours. The water keeps rearranging the painting.

I was very happy when I was invited to join this small group of photographers doing collabs regularly. Taking a picture is one thing, editing the other. And i am always stunned in how many different ways you can edit a picture.

For this one i was really surprised that so many of the collaborators chose a vertical ratio, as i have always seen it as a clear horizontal shot. And that is what i love about this project: Every collab we do expands the horizon of how you can see a photo.

How would you have done it? Please let us know in the comments! ✍️

A big thank you to everyone participating this time and sharing your creativity! 🫶🏻 by @unsupervised.stoat

Went outside to reconnect with reality.
Found trees floating, the sky underwater, and gravity on annual leave.

I’ll stay a little longer. 🌲🫠

Bowed heads, violet petals, silver threads holding the rain.

The pasqueflower — a protected wildflower in Latvia — grows close to the earth, quietly enough to be missed.

Some beauty asks us to tread lightly.
To kneel beside it.
To leave it growing.

Somewhere along the way,
we learned to call blending in belonging.

I wonder how many of our colours
we’ve mistaken for flaws.
