some names don’t travel often. and that’s the point. an act that rarely steps outside its own path, and even less outside its usual territories.

@untouchablekay & @untouchablenitrox have been shaping a precise and uncompromising vision of drum & bass since the early 2000s, becoming quiet reference points for a sound that has never followed trends or softened its identity.

rooted in dub pressure, weight and repetition, their approach is stripped down and direct - a deep, controlled force behind the decks that speaks through selection rather than excess. there is no nostalgia in what they do, only consistency: a language that has held its ground for decades with absolute clarity.

for us, hosting them is not just another booking. it’s recognition, a matter of respect, and a chance to host a presence that has shaped the path long before us - and still does.

The Untouchables is a collaboration of Belgium-based Kay & Nitrox that started at the dawn of the new Millenium. The duo specialises in the dark and tribal dub side of drum and bass and has an impressive catalogue of releases on genre-defining labels such as Samurai Music, Rupture, Cylon, Renegade Hardware, 457, Translation, DNO, Alphacut and Mutable Beats. Their sound outlines a wide array of musical styles – from minimal, to dubby, to deep, percussive halfstep - all that bathed in distorted, fleshy bass.

Kay’s ability to blend heavy basslines and percussion is unparalleled. The oldskool influences of yesteryear are key to her approach to drum and bass. Nitrox is the co-founder of the original Universal Project. He has released tracks as U.P (and with Keaton) on established labels such as Renegade Hardware, Freak Recordings, Quarantine, Virus, True Playaz or Advance.

Behind the decks, The Untouchables are a force to be reckoned with. They always deliver a heavyweight selection of sounds that come from the deeper side of the bass universe. Currently, they are hosting a show on Black Rhino Radio, featuring fresh music from their studio & producers they like, as well as guest appearances from their favourite roster of artists. by @untouchablekay

Hard to have to announce, but our May show @unit3_mcr is unable to go ahead as planned.

The venue have informed that they are currently up against a couple of things outside their control with the city council that are affecting their ability to confirm availability on the date we had planned.

Real efforts have been made by us since to run with this same date and line up at suitable alternative venues, but this unfortunately hasn’t worked out.

Based on all this, we have taken the decision to postpone the show, with the hope that things get sorted and we can come back.

Real apologies to all those who have bought tickets, made plans and were looking forward to this night as much as we were. Gutted here as you can guess..

RA will be reimbursing you on the tickets in the next 4 to 10 days and you can get in touch with us directly if there are any issues. CODE email address is embedded in link on our IG page.

Massive thanks to all who showed their support for us on this right from the start, it’s all been appreciated. by @untouchablekay
