Below you can find xcerpt from the reportage, capturing Monte Negro splitboard adventure last spring. It was printed this past december in Sokol magazine, Slovenia.

Next to the PDF there are some shots, legends and lines along the way.

About my local ski resort @soriskaplanina .
A special place for me, its where all started. First as a ski racer, then transitioned to snowboarding. Constantly searching for hidden powder stashes and spots for kickers. There were no snow park, not even now. My focus has always been on chasing powder and exploring the mountain's natural terrain. Sadly the area is a bit small...

🏔️

During the filming for the #dannoc movie, we only spent one day there, but it was a good one. I decided to check out one of the few rocky drops in the area. Its much hidden and I must claim it, the highest one. We had some fresh snow, but no base on the landing. I managed to land the drop, but with only fresh snow I ended up bombing it into the grass. No shot, but I rode away in one piece.
Later we got a classic method shot. Link for the movie is still in BIO.

Thank you #snowboarding.

DANNOČ [noun]- stands for dreaming of snowboarding day and night.

* comes from slovenian words DAN (day) and NOČ (night). Combine them together and you get a new fictitious word or meaning.

What can I say about the movie? First its not a video part although it may look like. Its not a season recap while we were around for two seasons. Its more like visual story about weekend warrior, who is over 40 and just keeps going. Its about motivation and passion for riding, to find new lines around home mountains while its not forbidden to dream of peaks worldwide. Being a lifer and not to succumb to trends much. Find your dannoč in you...

Last year we struggled for good conditions around Julian Alps. We were nonstop on #thesearch mode to get some fresh snow. While we had some luck with deep #snow in the trees, the high alpine was harsh.

❄

Im talking about #freeride and lines which were and still are on my wish list. Due to the small team and snow conditions, I had to gave up some ideas but on the other hand new terrain was found. Some just accross the borders with Italy or Austria.

❄

This season we have even bigger problem with the snow but much less pressure :)

Not much high alpine riding this season (yet), but many good tree runs and few chutes went down.

Good snow, fun turns and safety (some shots too though 🙏) were priority so I didnt push it much up higher.

Spring is still ON...
