wow - looking back on the surreal experience working with @uoregon @uodance student dance collective, choreographing a duet this past January✨ “as above, so below - we met here & now”, with such incredible dancers (@skylrhs, @ibetheizzy, @hannah_rose_voigt , @leeellen_mychelle ,@marinazeenaa, and @cortneyyyb - majority are 2026 graduates ), we shared so many laughs & so many real conversations about the industry, being dedicated to the craft, and what it means to get the most out of a process no matter what the outcome is. I left the process revitalized, inspired and grateful for such an incredible environment & experience 🫂❤️ I love teaching, choreographing but what truly brought me the most joy was coaching the movement and seeing the artist grow inside ✨✨ Thankful to @mshannahvictoria for putting this in motion, seeing my greatness and pushing me forward. Also the incredible conversations in & out of the studio w/ @shannonmockli, supporting & observing the whole process. A lil collaboration, costume designer moment with the one & only @hair.witch !! can’t believe I got to witness this work @dance_oregon gala, in the beginning of the summer…where they performed for the last time & brought my @fermataballetcollective crew to come check it out - another very sweet memory ✨ by @uodance
⭐️Student Achievements⭐️ We are proud to announce that rising Dance BFA junior Max Roholt has been accepted into the Dance as Social Transformation (DaST) Program at The School at Jacob’s Pillow, one of the most respected dance institutions in the world. This highly selective program brings together emerging artists from across the country who are committed to exploring the role of dance as a catalyst for social change, community engagement, and creative leadership. Max’s acceptance is a remarkable accomplishment and recognition of his talent, dedication, and commitment to using dance as a tool for connection and positive change. Through this immersive summer experience, he will engage with nationally recognized artists, scholars, and community practitioners while further developing his artistic voice and leadership as an emerging dance artist. We congratulate Max on this exciting achievement. by @uodance
⭐️Student Achievements ⭐️ UO dance major Michelle Rogers was selected by UO’s Center for the Study of Women in Society (CSWS) for their STEAM Summer Fellowship, a paid interdisciplinary research opportunity with faculty mentorship, and selected by the American Dance Festival (ADF) as a stagecraft apprentice. Michelle will spend six weeks in Durham, NC working on the production crew for the world-renowned dance artists programmed to perform at ADF this summer while taking dance classes with their esteemed faculty. Michelle will then return to Eugene where they will conduct research for their CSWS project, titled “Partitions for Performance: A Summative Model for Analyzing Gendered Connotations in Dance.” The project aims to examine how movement patterns are recognized as either feminine or masculine and whether such patterns can be represented mathematically. by @uodance

I feel so fortunate to work at the University of Oregon alongside such passionate, talented, and knowledgeable women. This spring, the lovely @mshannahvictoria brought the incredible idea of incorporating graffiti art into our program, and I immediately jumped on board. It felt like such a meaningful way for our students to not only study dance, but also explore the culture, history, and artistic foundations of hip-hop. Watching our students connect with another element of the culture through graffiti was so inspiring. #universityoforegon #hiphopelements #hiphopculture #collegedance #graffiti by @uodance
