📢Phantom Threads focuses on artists and makers working with textile practices — exploring how craft carries traces of labour, care, gender, and memory through everyday making, matrilineal inheritance and embodied experience. The exhibition foregrounds makers’ creative practices and celebrates their material and emotional contribution, giving what is stereotypically seen as ‘women’s work’ more visibility and showcasing its often-underappreciated value. Artists include Gwen Larson, Amy Brushaber, Sophie Pettit, Tricia Zakreski, Ruth Broadway, Mandy Griffiths, Terry Cann, Alison Murray, Catherine Waite, Galawezh Mohammed Sabira and Niga Salam. Curated by Kaia Brushaber, Liv Pattimore and Moyan Zhang.

5-14 June 2026, open daily from 11am-4pm

REWORLDING is the overall project title for a series of five exhibitions taking place across the city of Exeter, curated by University of Exeter’s MA Curation class of 2026. Please see link in bio for details.

REWORLDING investigates the notion of ‘repair’, reimagining our shared reality in response to current social, ecological and technological crises. The project sets out to question the idea of a single dominant Western-centred worldview and the totalising claims of global consumerism, in its place amplifying marginalised human and non-human voices to build sustainable, inclusive and alternative worlds.

Join us on Wednesday 27 May from 12noon-3pm for the preview of ENDURANCE, curated by Niga Salam, at the Institute of Arab & Islamic Studies, University of Exeter. As part of the opening, Ahmed Najm, Director of Metrography, will be in conversation, before the premiere of his new film.

Artists: Faek Rasoul, Kamaran Najm, Hardi Kurda, Baha Yasir, Bzhwen Jamal, Ahmad Najm, Awaz Suad, Sarina Panahideh, Hoshang Bahjat

An exhibition of 9 Kurdish artists’ work, exploring everyday resilience in the face of on-going conflict. ENDURANCE explores how conflict continues beyond the spectacle of war, through memory, absence, and the quiet realities of everyday life. Focusing on Kurdish experiences across generations, the exhibition brings together film, photography, sound, installation, and live performance. What is it when the lived experience of endurance is given visible form, in contrast to the media spectacle of conflict?

Presented at the Street Gallery, Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter, from 27th of May until 1st of August, in partnership with Metrography Agency, Sulaymaniyah.

ENDURANCE forms part of REWORLDING, the MA Curation 2026 summer graduation programme, with exhibitions and events taking place across the city of Exeter.
