A recent research initiative explored how 40 middle school students learn and engage with cybersecurity concepts during a weeklong, hands-on summer camp experience. Through collaborative problem-solving and real-world cyber investigation scenarios, the study will examine how students develop technical understanding, communication skills, and interest in cybersecurity careers. The project was conducted through collaborative leadership with the KC7 Foundation (KC7cyber.com) and The Hub for Innovative Learning & Leadership (Fayette County Public Schools), bringing together cutting-edge educational tools and local educational expertise. The camp and associated research were partially supported through grant funding secured by faculty from the Elementary, Middle, and Secondary Teacher Education Department in CEHD, helping expand access to innovative cybersecurity learning opportunities for students.#UofL #UofLCEHD #Community #leadership by @uoflcehd
