Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
Our graduates achieved outstanding results on this year’s bar exam — continuing the Joseph F. Rice School of Law’s strong tradition of excellence.

- 92% first-time bar passage rate in South Carolina
- 91%+ first-time bar passage rate nationally
(pending official statewide results)

Your hard work, resilience, and commitment to the profession truly paid off. We are incredibly proud of each of you. You did it — and we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make as new attorneys.

Well done, Class of 2025.
Your future is bright, and your legacy is just beginning.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Scott Moïse ’74, ’89, recipient of the Bethea Volunteer Service Award!

From teaching advanced legal writing at USC Rice Law for 30 years to serving the University of South Carolina as a trustee, Board of Visitors chair and Alumni Association president, Moïse has given generously to the university that helped shape her path.

“I keep coming back because of what I received here,” she says, “and I think I can do the same for other people.”

Thank you, Elizabeth, for your lasting service to USC and our law school community. by @uofsclaw

Law school can be demanding, but your well-being matters to us.

This Law Student Mental Health Day, we’re reminding our students to take a real break, check in with one another and reach out for support when they need it. Small moments of rest, connection and care can make a meaningful difference. 💛
