It's been enough time for us to say a massive thank you to @lborodebate and @uol_debate for joining us at Midlands comp this year. It was an absolute honour to be able to host this competition and to do it with fierce competition what a privilege.

A MAJOR CONGRATS TO LINCOLN 🙌🙌🙌 FOR THIER VICTORY. Every single team you out forward were a class act truly a masterclass in how to debate in style and content.

A special shout out to lboro who came in with teams of only freshers and we're absolutely sublime I cannot wait to see them all flourish and grow.

A massive round of applause to the Leicester teams themselves , especially to L who went in with 2 different partners and was a last minute sub what a performance.

Onto next year .... Where we can only hope to bring the trophy back home 🤔🤔🤔 taken in Percy Gee Building by @uoldebating

We are super excited to announce that we will be collaborating with @uoldebating to discuss the following question: "Under what circumstances, if any, is foreign military intervention justified?"

There are no expectations for turning up on the day aside from being respectful and willing to listen to other people's opinions.

We also want to note however that this topic can be heavy, especially considering the times we live currently, so please prioritise your mental health if you feel that you might find attending this event triggering. ❤️

Will you be there? Take the poll below 👇🏽 by @uoldebating

In an attempt to raise money for British autism society , we are hosting a sports day , meet us across from the Attenborough tower , maybe more like a sports evening as it will be later in the day but we are hoping to see you all there with some classic sports such as
Wheelbarrow race
Mummy wrap race
And most importantly
Pass the monster can marathon
Come as a team or come alone and find someone new to share the joy of the day with.
