This week, students on our Finishing for Film and Broadcast module met with industry specialists from @core_post and @digitalimagingfx

They talked about their work across post-production and offered mentoring opportunities that connect directly to students’ developing professional practice.

Their insight supports the module’s main assessment, in which students create a 60-second title sequence while working across the five core departments: Editorial, VFX, Audio Post, Picture Finishing, and Post Supervision. Students also produce versions for the same delivery systems used across the sector: Broadcast (AS 11), Cinema (DCP) and Streaming or VoD (IMF).

The module combines creative decision-making, technical precision, and essential soft skills, including collaboration, workflow planning, and communication. It reflects how post-production operates in the industry and is supported by the wide network of partners that shapes the course as a whole.

Trimester 2 is here — and it is where momentum builds.

More craft. More experimentation. More confidence.

What is one thing you want to improve by the end of this trimester: pacing, sound, VFX, colour, organisation, time management, or post-production workflows?
