Washington Crossing Historic Park is featured in the August 2026 issue of @UpperMakefieldMag 📰

The issue highlights the Park’s role in the community’s 250th celebrations, including our July 4 Independence Day festivities and @UMBA1967’s 4th Revolutionary Run, which welcomed a record 1,586 registered runners this year 🎆

The magazine also looks ahead to the Keystone Community Coalition’s Washington Crossing America 250 Gala, coming to the Park on September 12. The evening will bring together community leaders, first responders, small businesses, and neighbors while raising funds for local organizations, including the Friends of Washington Crossing Park 🥂

John Godzieba has been reenacting for over 25 years, portrayed General George Washington at the Crossing reenactments since 2009, and serves as President of Friends of Washington Crossing Historic Park. His cover story explores his dedication to preserving and sharing Revolutionary War history with new generations 🛶

The Revolutionary Run (@umba1967), is an Independence Day tradition that brings nearly 1,000 runners and walkers to Washington Crossing each year while supporting community programs and emergency services 🏃

As we continue commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, we’re grateful for the people who help keep history alive through education, service, and tradition 🌟

Bucks Beautiful’s support has helped restore and enhance the Thompson-Neely House Kitchen Garden and Orchard and other historic horticultural projects throughout the park 🌼
