Some records just hit different live. Because the artistry and craft of the performance comes to the forefront.

That said, Figgy Baby + Pretty Pape$ brought “Contact High” into the Traklife studio for a live session with a few friends and cameos.

Two artists we brought together at a Traklife community event. A few years later, this record came to fruition. A unique vibe and feel only these 2 artists can manufacture with their eclectic style and energy.

SNT JMS came with the sound and energy while we placed the city as the backdrop.

For this edition of Remote Sessions, we took live and raw hip-hop to a hill overlooking Downtown LA at sunset, capturing a performance that was as much about the environment as it was the music.

A big thank you to @hisong.global for partnering in this series. This performance was captured using the HiSong AirStudio S1, helping us record clean vocals in an outdoor setting while giving the artist the freedom to perform without being tied to a traditional studio setup.

This is what Remote Sessions is all about: documenting artists in places that bring another layer of meaning to their music.

Think you’ve got a story worth documenting?

She said “Dive” and we fell in slow motion. 💫 Kiana Corley’s voice is made for this kind of moment. Watching and listening to her perform this session felt like the world went away and it just you and the soul of her voice. If you’re into soulful vocals and laid-back R&B vibes, this is your sign to tap in.

The raw emotion and lyrical depth of Filipino-American rapper, Carl Angelo, must not only be heard but experienced. Over the course of the past few months we’ve witnessed growth and success come to Carl as he emerges as not only an artist but as someone who is moving and impacting culture through his lyricism, messaging, and delivery. We’re grateful to have collaborated in putting this live session together of his breakout hit “AIGHT.” The full session is a must watch on the Traklife Live Session YouTube channel (linked in bio)
