✨ YOUR NEXT GREAT NIGHT AT THE THEATER STARTS HERE. WELCOME TO SEASON 22. ✨ Time passes. There’s no going back. No stepping into the same river twice. The present is constantly falling into a past beyond return. Meanwhile we keep waiting: for a loved one, for inspiration, for change, for a bus, for tomorrow. In THE JANEIAD, Jane waits twenty years for her husband to return from the rubble of the Twin Towers. In SECOND ACT, a stranger barges into a couple’s home, with the claim that he is returning for his long-lost love. And in THE ADDING MACHINE, Mr. Zero actually passes through death and is sent back to earth, only his soul has degraded to a point beyond return. These plays are by turns lyrical and droll, comical and clever, satiric and surreal, and all highly topical. You will laugh and cry and maybe even find catharsis. And discover theater that is beyond daring. 🎭 WANT TO BE PART OF THE MAGIC? Become an Upstream Theater Season 22 subscriber and join us for the journey ahead. Subscribe today!
