All of the drinks from @upteavancouver are made with fresh, premium fruits! My favourite was definitely the Mango Sticky Rice Slush! 🥭✨

Can you guess which drink is $25? 🤭

Mangosteens are delicate, seasonal, and often imported from tropical countries. Add in the love, care, and labour that goes into making each drink, and it’s easy to see why they come at a premium! 💜🌿

Would you pay $25 for a bubble tea?! 👀🧋 @upteavancouver is known for their Royal Mangosteen Tea, so I had to see what the hype was about!

Everything we had :

FINALLY tried Vancouver’s most expensive fruit tea… and it’s $25 a cup! 😳💸

This mangosteen fruit tea from Richmond’s @upteavancouver is definitely one of the most unique drinks I’ve tried. They hand-peel almost 10 high-quality mangosteens, blend them into the drink, and the result? Super refreshing, naturally fruity and surprisingly sweet! 🍈✨

But the salted egg yolk milkshake?! 🤯🥚 Creamy, slightly salty, slightly sweet.. and honestly, I LOVE how different it is!

I also tried their mango & strawberry glutinous rice smoothies. The chewy glutinous rice adds such a fun texture! 🥭🍓

Everything is made with 100% sugar, but surprisingly, I didn’t find the drinks overly sweet.

Okay, Richmond bubble tea… you’re really stepping up your game! 🧋🍓

I literally saw them bringing in huge boxes of fresh longan and lychee while I was there, then cutting the fruit right in front of me! 😳 And apparently, next month they’re bringing in fresh figs from Turkey 🤯

You can really tell they care about the ingredients. Everything tastes fresh, and honestly, with so many new bubble tea shops getting better and more creative, I’ve pretty much stopped going for those powdered-milk chain drinks. 😂 This one feels LEGIT.

I tried 4 drinks and here’s my ranking 👇

🥇 Mangosteen Tea — As someone who grew up in Indonesia, I KNOW my mangosteen. 😂 And this was so good! Finding good mangosteen here is already a challenge, so I was impressed.

🥈 Rose Fig — Such a unique combination! I’ve never had anything like this before, and somehow it works SO well. 🌹

🥉 Mango Sticky Rice — The chewy rice makes it so interesting! It’s almost like having mango sticky rice in a drink instead of tapioca. 🥭🍚

4️⃣ Salted Egg — My friend actually loved this and said it reminded them of Singaporean salted egg chicken. 🇸🇬 I found it a little too salty, but I can totally see why people would love it. It’s also not overly sweet.

And their pudding toppings are SO good too! 👀 I’m already eyeing their peach milk tea for my next visit because I saw someone order it and it looked incredible. 🍑

So glad Richmond has another bubble tea spot doing something different! Hopefully they expand to more areas around Metro Vancouver soon. 🙌

We came for the viral fruit tea, then we found the sticky rice drinks. 👀

We tried both the papaya sticky rice and mango sticky rice; it felt like dessert and a drink had a baby. 😂

The drinks had so much fresh fruit, and they weren’t overly sweet.

The fresh mangosteen tea caught our attention, but we left thinking about the sticky rice drinks. 😂

We would go back and explore more.

$25 FRESH FRUIT BBT?! @upteavancouver Of course I had to try it — especially when the Royal Mangosteen Tea is clearly the main character of UP TEA’s new Sticky Rice Collection 👑

I also tried the Mango Sticky Rice Slush 🥭, Papaya Sticky Rice Slush, and the Salted Egg Milkshake — such a unique lineup if you’re into Asian dessert-inspired drinks!

The mango sticky rice was a must for me — creamy, tropical and basically dessert in a cup. The papaya version was fruity and refreshing, while the salted egg milkshake had that sweet + savoury combo you don’t see often.

But the one everyone’s going to talk about? Royal Mangosteen Tea for $25! 😳 Made with fresh mangosteen, so yes… I had to see what a $25 fresh fruit BBT tastes like ..felt like I ate so much Mangosteen in one go.

$25 mangosteen drink or MANGO STICKY RICE DRINK 😱

@upteavancouver is located in Richmond, inside Empire Plaza! They are viral for their $25 fresh mangosteen tea but they also have a lot of other fresh fruit teas! I actually really enjoyed their sticky rice series, the sticky rice is chewy and easier to drink than sago!

Recommend trying their mango or papaya sticky rice slush! ☺️
