Yesterday we touched down in Mykonos and definitely made our presence felt. From the fellowship at our villa to our night out in Old Town we exuded black excellence. Happy belated freedom day from across the pond. Peep the American flag they brought out to our section. 😌✊🏾🇺🇸

Naples is a city caught in a complex web of poverty, crime, and corruption. Southern Italy was the historic hub for various Italian mafia organizations. The atmosphere is tense and gritty and very different from the cities north of Italy. Unemployment is high and many turn to the streets to make ends meet. With that being said the culture is strong and the locals are proud of their heritage. I probably won’t come back but I’m glad I was able to see this side of Italy.

Florence had some of the most amazing architecture I had seen in my time in Italy. The food was amazing and the streets were lively full of tourists, locals, vendors, and horse drawn carriages. I wasn’t able to capture it all but the thing that stood out the most was the elevated personal style and fashion from people I met on the street. They dress well and enjoy showing off their creativity through their garments.

Venezia, Italy “Four Hours in Venice” 6.15.26

I had a short day trip to Venice or Venezia as the Italians would say. The city was so cool. The streets and narrow walk ways weaved through the island like and maze with new sets of cafes and shops on each block. One of the shop owners gave me her card in case I tried to come back and go lost. Needless to say I never made it back her store.

One of the pictures shows a couple embracing eachother under a low lying tree. Legend is if kiss under the leaves your be in true love for the rest of your life. I totally made that up but I thought it fit the vibes of the picture. I’d recommend staying in Venice for a few days if you can just so you can explore the entire island without a lot of anxiety. At one point I was speed walking through the cobble stone to make it back to my train on time. Florence is next!
