SENNACHAI
I’m still excited about this set at Dada Lab and the pictures taken by a great friend @tchsu.creates and @joeyhifi convergent media collective. Thank you to Me Mer Mo and all the friends who came.

The visuals shown behind were created live by @cakeburgerlightshow, a local light and video artist in Austin.

https://www.thecmcollective.org
Follow this link to read about the performances featured at Me Mer Mo like Price Slashers and Black Magic Cyborg, written by Joseph Lopez.

I have always had a tough time performing music on stage. Nothing triggers my fight or flight more than being alone in front of people, despite how much I love actually creating live with friends. AND despite having done a *lot* of performing growing up as a musician.

I’ve recently been feeling more confidence in what I do, and am finding it in myself to tap into that part of being a musician that I stepped away from since moving to Austin TX. This week was my first performance under the moniker Sennachai (Shan-uh-kee), an altered Irish word Seanchaí - a teller of stories, a lore-keeper.

Thank you again to everybody who came to the show at Dada Lab. I’m planning more and would love to see you there!

Intro music for “Layla, Baby” an upcoming short film written by Isaac Scego @isaac_scego and directed by Lucas Mason @lucas.j.mason.

Featuring performances by
Luke Husmann @luke_husmann
Sheilava @sheilava
Taylor Fredericks @therealtfreddy
Amado DeHoyos @agd.ventures
Mayra Lupita
Isak Tufic

A young man is haunted by his childhood memory of the traumatic disappearance of the beautiful woman next door, but when she reappears years later, he seeks closure.

The story is haunting, colorful, and deep. The music is meant to evoke the same.

Found this in the archives! Back in May, @willpyle and I debuted our duo, Nixta. In the program, we premiered a new piece by our friend @ur_boi_max titled "Sledge" for lead pan, multi-percussion, and alto saxophone. Due to some technical issues, most of the livestream audio was lost, but luckily, this is what survived! We are grateful to share Max's innovative voice with the world and are looking forward to experimenting more with pan and sax! by @ur_boi_max
