‘BlerDCon 2026 Cosplay Teaser Trailer’
•
Had to take it back to UPN for this one.
•
Back in the DMV and back at the family reunion.
•
I’ll said before and I’ll say it again, BlerDCon is truly a con like no other.
•
This year felt like it really went by fast just because I was doing so much and having so much fun; Saturday night I was deliriously singing Tevin Campbell (thank you Shaya lol)
•
Most importantly, shout out to us. Not only was Black Excellence on full display but I feel like everyone was reliving their childhood and embracing the greatness of the 90s like no other way possible.
•
I feel like I saw a lot and missed even more with everything that was going on.
•
As always, I gotta give it up for the cosplayers. Everyone showed up and showed out. Thank you again and always for your time (I’m still working to send everyone their video clips).

Can’t wait for next year.
•

For a century, we’ve been celebrating our melanated magic, our brilliance, our resilience, & our undeniable impact on this world. From surviving to thriving. From resistance to revolution. From “they said we couldn’t” to “watch us do it anyway.”

And let’s be clear, we’re not stopping.
Not because they hate it.
Not because they try to erase it.
Not because our joy makes them uncomfortable.

Our history is powerful. Our legacy is intentional. Our excellence is loud.

📜 From the 15th Amendment (1870) securing voting rights
✊🏾 To the founding of the NAACP (1909)
🚌 To Rosa Parks (1913) choosing courage over comfort
🎨 To the Harlem Renaissance redefining art, culture, & Black genius
🏫 To Brown v. Board (1954) cracking open segregated systems
🥪 To the Greensboro Sit-Ins (1960) led by fearless youth
🎤 To “I Have a Dream” echoing across generations
⚖️ To the Civil Rights Act (1964) & Voting Rights Act (1965)
🕊️ And even through loss, grief, & resistance, we rose!

Black history isn’t just something we remember.
