@poder.sf Youth Organizing Victory. Reflecting Mama Earth and the wisdom of our ancestors in Yelamu on Occupied Ohlone Lands.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Join us for 🌟🌱¡Hierbas y Raices! 🌱Sunday October 18th, @ Hummingbird Farm from 12-3PM.📍 We will be connecting through our immigrant experiences to plant medicine, to ground ourselves with the land, as a way to practice community healing and support. ❤️‍🩹🍃

We know our community is currently going through difficult times and it can feel unstable and emotionally draining. We often don’t have the time, the space or sometimes the resources to practice self/community care. We want to invite you to come to the farm to destress, and connect with Mother Earth by tending to the land and participating in our plant medicine and zine making workshops. While there’s a lot of fear and uncertainty happening in our immigrant and especially undocu communities, we hope to provide tools to destress that fill us with support and collective strength. 💫🌱

We hope to see you there! Feel free to bring anything you would like to share but we will provide materials and snacks. Make sure to bring water, wear comfortable shoes/clothes, and remember to wear sunscreen. 🌷🌷

¡Acompáñanos a 🌟🌱¡Hierbas y Raíces!

Asegúrate de traer agua, usar by @urbancampesinx

Citizen Initiatives are part of the San Francisco fabric! Essential to having our needs met. Ballot initiatives will only be for the rich and wealthy IF Pop D Passes!! That's why PODER says NO ON D!!!

Join Us is correcting the narrative so our neighbors know the truth. No to pricing our community out of the ballot.

📢🗳📢🗳📢🗳📢

What do we do when our public lands are under attack ?!

STAND UP FIGHT BACK!

This year, PODER youth utilized camera lenses to capture powerful photographs as credible research, highlighting what is at stake at our community park.

And Today is the final day to view the “Keep Crocker Real” exhibition. We invite you to join us at 2:00 PM at the Visitacion Valley Library, located at 201 Leland Ave to learn about the threats we are facing at Crocker Amazon park and how we are working together to keep our local park, free open and accessible to all people with no petroleum based grass.

We hope to see you there to support our youth and our Crocker Amazon park.

Have you been wanting to bring new life to your old clothes?❗️Wanting to waste less, and recycle more? Wanting to craft and be more creative?❣️

Then come through to our Eco-Fashion Workshop! We’ll be taking our old clothes and supporting you in sewing, adding patches, painting a new cool design, block printing, embroidering, or simply cutting and hemming to bring new life to your old pieces.✂️👚🪡🧵🎨

As fast fashion continues to exploit the land and people, it’s important more than ever to continue to be conscious of the impact we have as consumers. Over consumption of clothing/Fast Fashion is one of the leading causes in environmental pollution and destruction today. But we can do our part to slow/stop the crazy over consumption. And what better way to do that than by tapping into your creativity, amongst friends, learning to craft and bring new life to your old pieces of clothes!
