Maybe Im just being a little overdramatic, but I just spent a month of days off trying to fix a problem with my car. I usually enjoy working on stuff but this wasn't that. This used to be fun but now it's just lonely. Maybe Im just such a piece of crap no one wants to be around me. I have become this hole where cars go to die. And I’m tired of feeling this way. With that being said, I think that I am going to clear the slates and let some things go. Maybe a fresh start. Maybe just the end. #1936ford #fordcrewcab #1935ford #1960chevy #1936fordcoupe by @urbanlegnd

Gratuitous gas station shot. First long trip. From here on out I had everything crossed hoping to make it home. Middle of nowhere alternator starts to fail. Leaky air valve has the compressors kicking on every couple of minutes. And then the icing on the cake I make it home and notice the fuel pump is leaking. Didn’t leave me stranded but damn. Other than that she ran pretty good.

This morning I was sad and genuinely unhappy. By the time I got off work most of that feeling had dulled and I was ok. But that’s not right. Nothing changed. Nothing got better. I just got numb to it. I’m still not happy.
I thought having weekends off would change things. There were things that I thought I wanted to do on the weekends. I did them. Not as great as I thought it would be. Maybe it’s the town. Maybe it’s the people. Maybe it’s just me.
I make decent money. Doesn’t make me happy though. The house I live in is filled with stuff. Doesn’t make me happy.
I used to be poor, didn’t have much. But I was happy.
Money definitely doesn’t buy happiness. Lots of things but not happiness. I get things and there’s that momentary rush but then it’s gone. I have lost the appreciation for the little things and having a little and appreciating it. It’s a thought.
As hard as it is for me to sell things. It might be time to streamline. I am overwhelmed by the things I have. So many projects that nothing gets done. Definitely need to unburden a bit. Certainly more than I’m going to want to sell. But…. something has got to give. I don’t want to keep o heading down the path that I’m on.

Maybe I need to have less to enjoy more.
I just had to write this down so it’s real and not just something else that fades as the day goes on.
Sorry for the long post. Is you read it all, thank you. 🙏🏻 by @urbanlegnd
