If you didn’t know, Sunday was the 1st Quarter Indy Concert presented by @djtypack & @pressplay_or_die at @soullabstudios! Artists from all over NC, including @realluhbri_, @lulzacmarvin, @thefarrahgamo, @baby_cheef, and many more were able to come bless the stage, showcase their talents, network, and put people on to the hottest music in the Carolina’s 🤧 Who up next?!

Jaala, an alumna of the illustrious NC A&T State University, has created a life of exploration through a mindset shift. Over the last year, she was able to travel across the US and visit multiple countries after simply deciding that it was what she wanted to do.

In addition to travel content, Jaala also creates motivational and self-care content to encourage others as she goes through her journey.

Ariana Rae, who attended NCAT, has ventured out, travelled, and worn many hats throughout the past few years. From being a model for different brands to becoming a ACE certified trainer. ATL native and former member of the @b_gmm, @kcalloway__ is most known for her charism and musical talents that will easily leave you breathless.

If her face seems familiar, you may have seen her on the stage of @tvonetv’s Urban One Honors, as she performed as a part of the all women house band. Or maybe you’ve seen her posted on social media, as many share her sultry performances at @poetryonpeter every Monday. But you may have also seen her at @spotlightmixer, as she was one of three creators to organize and host the event in Greensboro, NC in February 2022.

Historically Black Colleges and University, also widely known as HBCUs, are hubs for some of the most creative individuals we’ve ever seen. From musicians and influencers to actors and producers, and everything in between. For example, @terrencej is not only known as an actor and former host of 106 & Park, but he is also a proud @ncatsuaggies alum!

This month is dedicated to HBCU Creatives in honor of one of our favorite “holidays,” HOMECOMING! Ask any HBCU alumni you know, homecoming season is one of the greatest times of the year. It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t give them the platform to shine and share their talents, art, and accomplishments thus far.

We’re breaking down the month into 4 segments: Media, Lifestyle, Culture, and Business. Be sure to tap in so you can network with other creatives, learn a few tips and tools, and be exposed to greatness produced by some amazing HBCU students and alumni.
