Drew Barrymore in the rain. With a bib. A hearing aid, a cochlear implant, and zero waterproofing. Love that for me. 😬

Hype to have @thefeed in my corner this marathon season as a #FeedAmbassador + the timing couldn’t be better.

One of the toughest things to figure out on long runs is what fuel actually keeps me pushing. I personally love @maurten_official gels, @saltstick chews, @nuunhydration + looking forward to bringing @thefeed Dream Shots, @drinknomio, + more into the mix — all apart of their product lineup.

I grew up watching the @nycmarathon in Harlem. Come November 1, I’m finally in it. Testing everything in my long runs + the @nyrr Staten Island Half first, so it’s only right I get it right. Right? 😉

Always a humbling experience being in the audiologist’s booth.

I said it before: deafness isn’t something you can cure or fix. What I have are tools. Cochlear implant on the left, hearing aid on the right, ASL, captions, interpreters, lip reading. Some days I lean on one more than the others. None of them make me “hearing” + none of them make me less Deaf.

It’s not a one size fits all thing. What works for me might not work for you + what works for you isn’t a verdict on me.

Here’s what a checkup looks like, 96 days after activation. Happy Deaf Awareness Month. 🤟🏽

@aslrunnyc_ had the incredible opportunity to gift a 2026 TCS New York City Marathon bib to a deserving runner from our community, helping break down barriers to access and create greater inclusion in the sport of running for the Deaf.

Our very own @urbny was selected to run the iconic race. Growing up on First Avenue in East Harlem, just blocks from mile 18.8, Aaron, his brother and cousins would spend New York City Marathon mornings on the curb, eating butter rolls from the corner store and cheering on runners. He’s dreamed of running the race ever since and thanks to ASL Run NYC, that dream is becoming a reality this year.

Now, Aaron is training for his first marathon with one goal in mind: reaching mile 18.8, where he hopes to see his family standing on that same corner. And if a kid with a butter roll sees him run by signing, even better.

Congratulations, Aaron! We’re cheering you on every step of the way 🤟🏽
