NO CYPHER TONIGHT! And thank you again to @growvemtl for letting us take over. It is always a learning experience to do our event in a new context, whether it’s a takeover like last night, a different venue, or a festival appearance. Would you be interested in some critical analyses and breakdowns? What went well and what needs to be improved? La semaine prochaine on est de retour à @opatrovys et le 8 octobre c’est notre #YEARXII 12e anniversaire! À bientôt. taken in Montreal, Quebec by @urbsci

It’s completely wild that players of @anh.t.phung’s calibre get judged and “iced out” by appearance instead of by objective quality metrics and playing criteria. Have you been vibed at jam sessions? Have you been vibed at OUR jam session? Have you felt COMFORTED by the fact that we DO have these minimum requirements for our jam? Have you hosted a jam and if so how do YOU screen jammers or set criteria? We’ve developed our screening questions at @lecypherx in order to attempt to have clear guidelines of what are the minimum requirements for participation, as well as to indicate what we are looking for, all while trying to make people feel welcome and keep the criteria as objective as possible. It’s a touchy subject and everyone does it differently. Curious to know what yall think? taken in Montreal, Quebec by @urbsci
