From Cassie:
It’s kind of funny to think that I’m so close with someone I only met a year ago, but now it’s hard to imagine where I would be without Erica. I met Erica during field hockey pre-season my first year of college, and she quickly became my favorite person to be around. It’s safe to assume that anywhere Erica is, I’m not far behind because it’s so rare to see one of us without the other. Honestly, the worst 2 weeks of college were the 2 weeks Erica was home after having ACL surgery and I had to go about my day without her. Now, she’ll lay on the floor in my room for hours just so we can rot on our phones a little bit closer to each other. She has such an awkward humor that makes her the funniest person in the room without even trying. She’s so much more than that though. She’s unconditionally supportive and kind to a flaw. She sees me and gets me and I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am for her. She’s such a gift to this world and to everyone who gets the chance to know her. I’m so lucky to get to play field hockey with her, live with her, and be a part of DG with her. Love you Ricky <3

From Erica:
I met Cassie the first day I arrived on campus, during our field hockey team meeting. I had never met or spoken to her before and was lowkey so scared to talk to her for the first time because I thought she was super intimidating. But then she cracked some stupid joke and I loved her right away. Since that day, we have been inseparable and you most likely won’t see one of us without the other. For those who know me, they know I am a very shy person at first, but I was never like that with Cassie. She brought me out of my shell immediately and never failed to make me feel welcomed. Cassie is someone who makes me feel seen. She is always there when I need someone to complain to, laugh with, and cry when I’m having a bad day, and is the only person who gets my weird jokes and phrases. From our weekly walks to Dunkin’, to me crutching across campus on a torn acl (in the snow) just to spend time with her, to us now living together, not a single day has gone by where I haven’ by @urdeltagamma

It’s time for a #whydgwednesday with @daliaa.emad

Growing up, my family moved a lot so I never had a concrete circle of friends. Me and my brother have always been close but I’ve always wanted to have sisters and close female friends. Joining DG was a very welcoming and warming experience. I was so excited to meet and befriend so many girls from different backgrounds. Not only have I experienced the sisterhood I’d always hoped for, I’ve also been inspired and driven by so many intelligent women in our chapter. And now, I’m so grateful to say that I finally have that circle that feels like home. by @urdeltagamma
