My 2 first girlies 💗💞🎀

Koda Bear 🐻, mi numero uno, the girl who started it all with me and her bestie since the day they met Shelby.

Koda Bear is a 2 year old beauty queen 👑 of a Bernese Mountain Dog with the most caring, loyal, and loving heart. She has been my best friend throughout our past year together and has showed me a type of love and affection I didn’t know was missing from my life until she came along. I’m grateful that every time I pick her up she insists on giving me a 10 min hug before we leave to pick up the rest of our pack. I feel blessed that she is there for me on my best days and my worst days, as I am for her. I’m thankful for the trust she instills in me when I pick the burs out of her fur for an hour after she gets covered in them during playtime on our walks. I’m honored that she feels safe with me when she has her skittish episodes and most importantly to witness her growth in her comfort levels in those moments improve ten-fold after the year of us being together.

Last Friday was my 1 year anniversary of taking the biggest leap of faith I’ve ever taken in my life by going independent as a dog walker, trainer, and pet sitter in San Francisco. I gave all my faith to God knowing that I had the skill set, a deep love for animals, and a passion for this work. Over the past year this job has allowed me to evolve into the woman I am today and I am extremely proud of that. This journey has been no cake walk but with every challenge I face it with perseverance and come away from it feeling a sense of reward like I’ve never had before. I am truly proud of the work I do with these babies. I say babies because they are my fur children. 💘🐾 🥲 The bonds that I have with my dogs goes beyond being just their walker, sitter, or trainer. Each one of them leaves an everlasting impression of love on my heart and feels the equal abundant love I have for them. I haven’t just taught these dogs, these dogs have taught me. I am forever grateful for this chapter of my life and the path that it continues to lead.

Today, I received the greatest anniversary gift from the universe. I found out this morning that my first 2 girls Koda Bear and Shelby (who are absolute besties) both needed to be watched by me all day so in celebration the 3 of us crossed the bridge and headed to Muir beach for the day.

I honestly couldn’t have prayed for more perfect weather. Seriously it was Chefs Kiss 💋 and the joy my girls got from spending all day with not only me but each other is the absolute best present the universe could’ve given me as appreciation for a job well done over the year. 🥹❤️🐾

On our return back for the later second walk of the day the gifts from the universe continued when the girls had run ins with not 1, not 2, but 4 of the their favorite dog park playmates at Moscone. Driving them home the sun had begun to set. Capping the tops off buildings all around with rosey pink tones while beams of gold shot through the windows of my car like lasers.

A very cinematic ending to the most wonderful day 🥹🫶🏻✨ by @urdogs_bestfriend
