New Yiddish music out in the world!

Levyosn's Dream, a beautiful album by Levyosn. It features lots of new music, including my very own arrangement to "A sukele a kleyne." You should absolutely listen and also buy it on Bandcamp this Friday (8/7), all profits go to the band.

Also, an amazing review of the album by Ira Khonen Temple (in the second comment below) which shows all the ways in which we can, and should, dream.

We had a wonderful experience performing the Scottsboro project at Temple Israel in Memphis this week. This is one of the most beautiful synagogues I have ever seen, and an awesome crowd came out to see us and talk to us. Many thanks to @_rabbiross, @jsunshine44, and everyone else who helped make this happen!

A very exciting double premiere of our Scottsboro project in Toronto - our first Canadian performance, and a premiere of our new arrangements for strings! Hope to see you there.

Now that YNY is over, this is a good opportunity to remind all Yiddish-lovers in my feed that a new Yiddish play, NIGHT STORIES, is running in New York until January 11, and it's beautiful! And I wrote the music. You can hear a sample here, which we've been calling the "Sunset" theme. I hope you go and are as deeply moved as I was.

I composed original music for a Yiddish play - NIGHT STORIES - based on the writings of Avrom Sutzkever. It premiers in New York this week and runs until January 11. If you're in town, come see/hear it!

Produced by @kulturkongres, starring @shanebertram and Amanda Miryem-Khaye Seigel
